Niall's POV
We made it to Nando's looking like we'd just escaped a natural disaster.
Everyone was panting.
Harry was bent over with his hands on his knees.
Louis had lost one shoe somewhere between the car park and the entrance.
Liam looked personally offended by cardio.
Zayn was fixing his hair in the reflection of the window.
Christine, meanwhile, looked completely fine.
Not even breathing hard.
Show-off.
"Thank God," she said, dropping into the booth. "I was two seconds away from eating one of you for energy."
"That would've been rude," Louis said.
"That would've been efficient," she replied.
I laughed and slid into the seat across from her.
Celebrity life had its perks.
Money. Fame. Travel.
But it also included being chased through shopping centres because someone spotted your face near the contact lens aisle.
"Seriously," Liam said, still trying to breathe. "How did they even find us?"
I pointed at myself.
"Because someone in the optics shop screamed my name like she'd discovered buried treasure."
Harry snorted.
"What happened then?"
"I grabbed the lenses, threw cash on the counter, and ran for my life."
Christine burst out laughing.
"I wish I'd seen that."
"It was heroic," I said.
"It was chaotic," Liam corrected.
"It was cardio," Louis groaned.
A waitress approached the table with a notepad and a smile.
"Hi, I'm Kim. I'll be serving you tonight. Can I start with drinks?"
Before anyone could answer, Christine suddenly kicked Zayn under the table.
He yelped.
"Stop kicking my leg," she said sweetly.
"I wasn't—"
"You absolutely were."
Kim blinked.
I grinned.
This was going well.
"I'll have water," Liam said.
"Coke," Harry added.
"Same," Louis said.
"Sprite," Zayn said, rubbing his shin.
"Orange juice," Christine said.
Everyone turned to stare at her.
"What?"
"You?" Louis asked. "Miss Chaos? Ordering orange juice?"
"I'm trying personal growth."
I pointed at myself.
"I'll have a milkshake."
Kim wrote it down.
"Chocolate?" she asked.
"Yes," I said with dignity. "Obviously."
Once she walked away, Liam leaned back.
