Christine's POV
The moment we walked through the front door, chaos followed us home.
Louis grabbed the remote first.
"News. We need the news."
"Why?" Harry groaned. "I'd rather not watch my family self-destruct in HD."
"Because," Louis said dramatically, "I need to know if my hair looked good during the fight."
"It did," I said.
"Thank you."
He turned the television on.
And there it was.
A giant headline across the screen.
Niall Horan's Sister in Public Fight with Harry Styles' Sister at Nando's
Footage rolled.
Gemma grabbing my hair.
Me grabbing hers back.
Zayn in the background pointing like it was a football match.
Liam looking stressed.
Niall shouting.
Harry looking like his soul had left his body.
I slowly turned to Zayn.
"You pointed?"
He shrugged.
"I panicked stylishly."
I sighed.
"Just like I thought," I muttered. "We're number one on the headlines."
Louis suddenly sat forward.
"Wait—Gemma's live on a talk show."
We all rushed closer.
On screen, Gemma sat beside a smiling host, looking polished, innocent, and extremely fake.
"Welcome back," the host said brightly. "Tonight we're joined by Gemma Styles to discuss the altercation earlier this evening involving Christine Horan."
Gemma smiled sadly.
Altercation?
That girl attacked me like a wild raccoon.
"So Gemma," the host continued, "what happened tonight?"
Gemma sighed dramatically.
"I was having a business meeting with my boss, Tyler Craig, when they approached me and accused me of things that weren't true. Then Christine became aggressive."
My jaw dropped.
"Excuse me?" I shouted at the television.
"She's lying already," Liam said.
"Already?" Harry muttered. "She started before the first question ended."
The host nodded sympathetically.
"So you're saying it was all a misunderstanding?"
"Yes," Gemma said. "Christine overreacted."
I stood up.
"OVERREACTED?"
Niall grabbed my wrist.
"Sit."
"I refuse."
"You're shaking."
"I'm planning murder."
"Reasonable," Louis said.
