Niall's Pov

We were about to enter the secret passage when—

I froze.

A scream echoed from downstairs.

Not just any scream.

Familiar.

My stomach dropped instantly.

"I think we should check who's down there," I said quickly.

They all turned to me like I'd lost my mind.

Louis scoffed. "Niall, are you serious? There's a demon downstairs. A killing machine. And you want to go check? I still want to propose to Harry, thank you very much."

Harry immediately turned bright red.

But I wasn't listening.

"What if it's someone innocent?" I insisted. "Someone who got caught up in this?"

Zayn shook his head. "Niall, we don't even have neighbors nearby—"

"I don't care!" I snapped, louder than I meant to. "What's the point of being supernatural if we're just going to hide like cowards?"

Silence.

I could feel my wolf pushing forward inside me.

Anger. Instinct. Protection.

"The moon goddess didn't make us to run," I continued. "We're supposed to fight!"

Louis opened his mouth—

But then—

A scream.

"PLEASE! NOT MY SISTER!"

Greg.

Everything stopped.

All of us went still.

That voice... I knew it.

We all ran.

No hesitation this time.

Downstairs.

Fast.

And when we got there—

Everything shattered.

Chrissy.

Held in the air.

Barely conscious.

A demon gripping her like she was nothing.

My sister.

My world stopped.

"No..." I whispered.

Something inside me snapped.

I shifted.

Pain hit my bones as my body transformed into my wolf form—blonde coat, rage burning in my chest.

The demon turned slightly.

And I lunged.

It caught me mid-air.

And threw me.

I hit the wall hard.

Pain exploded through my body.

"FUCK!" I growled internally.

Zayn didn't hesitate.

He shifted too—gray fur, white paws—furious.

"DON'T TOUCH HIM!" Zayn roared.

He attacked.

And got thrown just as easily.

The demon didn't even look tired.

Just annoyed.

One by one, we tried.

One by one, we failed.

It was too strong.

Too fast.

Too calm.

Then I realized something worse.

Danielle.

Still human.

Pregnant.

The demon turned toward her.

"No..." Liam whispered in horror.

"Please," Danielle begged, shaking. "I'm pregnant..."

But the demon didn't care.

It grabbed her.

Lifted her.

Choking her.

And that's when—

Chrissy moved.

Slowly.

Unsteadily.

But she stood.

"Put her down," she said.

Her voice was different.

Colder.

Stronger.

The demon paused.

We all stared.

"...Chrissy?" I breathed.

Greg blinked. "I thought you were dead."

Louis let out a nervous laugh. "Maybe this is just... a really bad roleplay?"

We all shot him a look.

Now was not the time.

Chrissy took a shaky step forward.

Again.

Then again.

"I said..." she repeated, voice sharper now. "Put. Her. Down."

Something changed in the air.

The demon tightened its grip—

And smiled.

Like it was enjoying this.

And in that moment...

I knew.

This wasn't over.

Not even close.
