The kiss lasted for at least ten seconds, which made me happy because I've never kissed anyone that long. As a matter of fact, I've never kissed anyone at all!

When Gerard and I came apart from the kiss, the taste of his lips lingered on mine. I touched my lips, because, hey, it was pretty magical.

"Eh, I've seen better," I shrugged, jokingly. I don't think he knew I was kidding, though, because when I looked up at him he looked genuinely hurt by what I had just said. It was as if someone had stabbed him in the heart. It was actually pretty hilarious.

"Really?" He asked, blushing uncontrollably.

"Totally, I mean I've been with a ton of guys, y'know? If you can't do any better than this I'm afraid I'll have to let you go," I think he could tell I was joking now, because he grabbed my hand while smiling.

"Well I guess I'll have to do better than that," he whispered as he inched closer to my face. I started to smile as the gap got smaller and smaller once again. All of a sudden, while our noses were barely touching, he moved away from me.

"You know what? This is a terrible way to prove myself," he stated.

My eyes instantly widened as I grabbed his collars and pleaded him, "what? No! It was just getting good, I think you should actually try proving yourself to me by y'know... whatever you were gonna do, am I right?" I was basically talking a mile a minute. It wasn't long before he chuckled and grabbed both of my hands this time saying, "it's okay, babe. I'm going to prove myself twice as worthy as I was going to. You know how?"

I was actually really excited for what he was going to say.

"How?" I asked, almost instantly.

"I'm gonna take you out," he whispered in my ear. I could practically hear the smile in his voice.

"On a date?" I asked, as if I was oblivious to what he was saying.

"Of course, love," he smiled genuinely. My heart melted as he called me love. I realized that we've been standing in the same spot for a while. I grabbed Gerard's hand and began walking, as he followed after. Honestly, it felt nice to have someone follow me for once. Usually when I walked away from Lynda she just lets me leave. She doesn't even try to stop me, it's as if she doesn't even care.

It made me really happy, actually. To know that Gerard would be there for me even when nobody else wasn't. I looked up at Gerard and smiled. He smiled back and squeezed my hand.

It honestly seemed like a fairy tale. I was with Gerard Way!

This feels like a dream.

"Huh?" Gerard asked. I realized I just said that out loud. My face started to burn up. I was so embarassed!

All he did was chuckle and squeeze my hand.

"I guess it does feel like a dream. It all happened so fast, too. But I'm glad it did," he grinned at me and I calmed down. Gerard just had some factor about him that made you calm down by his voice or even his presence.

Gerard and I spent the rest of the day together until the sun began to set. We made plans to see each other on Thursday for our first date. I was really excited, because I didn't know what to expect from him. Sadly, that meant not seeing him on Wednesday, but I'll be able to make due, I suppose.

When I came into my house, Lynda was in her room sitting on her bed. When she looked up, the first thing in her eyes were regret. Seriously? All it is is drama with her. She needs to live a little for once. She came off her bed immediately.
