Hello everyone before I began I want to tell you that this ONESHOT is based off of a Sailor Moon part in the movie Sailor Moon R Promise Of The Rose: The Movie where Usagi tsukino (Sailor Moon) gives up for the sake of her friends.
Knuckles was guarding the emerald as usual when a certain black hedgehog came running towards him to give him a surprise that he wasn't going to forget...Shadow said as he stopped right where he was, Knuckles The Echidna you will give me the master emerald this time. Knuckles yelled as he was about to fight him, LIKE HELL I WILL SHADOW!!!but was stopped as Shadow yelled, STOP WHERE YOU ARE ECHIDNA!!! That was when Knuckles experienced the shocking moment of his life... Shadow pulled a chain towards towards him and it revealed his best friend and lover Sonic The Hedgehog tied with the chain that Shadow yanked on, covered in some black ooz and his own blood (injured) and with a shock collar unconscious. Knuckles yelled, OH NO SONIC!!! Shadow cackled and said, Knuckles The Echidna give up and hand over the master emerald or you'll loose someone who is even more important and precious to you than the master emerald. With that Sonic screamed in agony as Shadow somehow activated the shock collar right in front of Knuckles frightened eyes. Then the electrocution stops and then Shadow said as he smirked, now surrender the master emerald and who knows what my decision is... Knuckles didn't know what to do but that's when he heard Sonics voice saying to him softly and weakly, no don't do it Knuckles the master emerald is the only thing that you guarded in your whole life it's what keeps this island floating.....you can't surrender it....not even for me Knuckles......please.... Knuckles knew that fact but there was one thing in his heart that was most important to him in his heart far more important than the master emerald. Shadow said, so what is your choice Echidna you still not going to give me the master emerald? Knuckles said, no.....you win Shadow.....I'm so sorry Sonic I can't stand anyone getting hurt around me especially you....I give up. Sonic started to cry as he yelled, KNUCKLES FIGHT HIM!!! Knuckles whispered as tears flew down his face, I can't if I fight him then you'll get hurt.....because of me.....I never wanted to lose you.....Your extremely important to me Sonic....I....I love you... Sonic cried as he said it. Shadow started to get a very painful headache as Knuckles ran towards Sonic and unchained him and removed the shock collar. Knuckles sees the tears in Sonics eyes as he picks him up from the ground and holds him close. He didn't care that he had got the black ooz on him he was just happy and relieved that Sonics okay. Sonic hugged him back and whispered as he cried, oh Knuckles I love you too. Then the two held on to each other while a painful headache Shadow was holding his head and on his knees.
