Chapter 43: The Unexpected.

8 months had passed.

"Elena get back here!",she shouted. Elena ran even faster. "Elena!",she shouted. Elena ran through the streets of Themyscira dodging and jumping over obstacles such as cargo boxes and chickens and goats and baskets of fruit.

She took a peep behind her. Five women wearing queens guard armour were catching up behind her. She saw a large amount of cargo boxes stacked sky high. She got her blade and cut the rope holding them together, the boxes came crashing down on top of the women.

Elena kept running. "Sorry!",she yelled back feeling bad. Artemis jumped over the fallen cargo boxes. She was determined to catch Elena. Elena turned and saw her. "Aww crap",Elena picked up speed. Artemis scared the crap out of Elena.

"How's she doing?",Hippolyta asked staring down from the main palace balcony, watching Elena. "She doing exceptionally well",Diana said standing beside her mother. "You've trained her well Diana", Hippolyta praised Diana.

Superman and superboy stood beside Diana. "She's right Diana, Elena knows watch she's doing",Clark said. "She's a smart girl",Diana smirked.

Elena got to the centre square of the city. She turned around. There was no sign of Artemis. "Crapcrapcrapcrapcrap",Elena said looking around nervously.

"Elena you've done well",Artemis said but couldn't be seen. Elena took out her small sword, that Diana had given her. "But this is where it ends",Artemis smirked. She jumped down from a building on top of Elena.

"She's going to hurt her",Jon said getting nervous. "It's a training session, no one will get injured.",Megaera reassured him.

Artemis swung her sword at Elena. Elena did her best to deflect it. "Stapppp",Elena said trying to hold her own. "Just submit",Artemis laughed. "And loose the bet with you? Like hell",Elena said determined. "You will have loose, whether you like it or not",Artemis said beginning to win. Elena let go, her sword went flying along the pavement.

"Well poop",Elena sighed. "Now little one you accept you fate",Artemis smirked and raised her sword above Elena. Elena accepted her fate. Artemis swung her sword.

"Enough",Jon said grabbed the sword. He then pushed Artemis to the ground.

"Jon!",Elena moaned. "What she was going to hurt you!",Jon turned to Elena and helped her up. Diana and Clark floated down. "For the 7th time! It's a training session!",she said. "Yeah an Amazonian training session, for amazons not humans",Jon told her.

Elena helped Artemis up. "Jon, you have to trust Diana on this",Clark said. "I do! But-",Jon said. "It's fine just don't do that again",Diana sighed.

Artemis passed Jon. "Don't ever do that again",she glared at him. He gulped.

Megaera waited for Jon and Elena. The grown ups went back to the palace.

"Elena you're getting better by the day",Megaera smiled. "Thank Megaera I'm trying, I'd be doing better if someone didn't interrupt every training battle",Elena glared at Jon.

Jon crossed his arms. "This isn't self defence training anymore this is training to be a soldier Elena! You didn't sign up for this!",Jon exclaimed. "Look, 4 more months and I'm off the island I think I'll live Jon",Elena was counting down. Megaera and Jon looked at each other.

"You really want to leave don't you?",Megaera said sadly. Elena noticed the sudden sadness. "No not like that meg...it's just..its complicated I'm just hoping to get some kind of goodbye to my dad and you know..",Elena felt bad. "We still haven't managed to find them",Jon said about Elena's parents. "Bruce will know so I'll ask him when I get off the island, I slightly can't wait to see Damian's face when he realises I ain't dead",she laughed.
