Chapter 13
The week had gone by and it was finally Friday. I stared at the clock in anticipation, counting down the minutes until the bell would go, letting me be free. This past whole week Vic had been the best boyfriend to me ever. It made me think why he didn't do relationships because he seemed to really have the whole sweet, kind boyfriend act down. I know he said it was since his parents died and I believed him, but part of me couldn't help but feel there was more to it than that. But, now it's Friday and I can finally get some answers like he promised me.
The bell went, signaling the day was now over and I jumped out of my seat. I was the first out the door and headed straight for the parking lot to wait for Vic by his bike. I dumped my belongings into my locker, I had finished all my homework and assignments early so I wouldn't have to worry about anything over the weekend. I had told my mom I was working today until 9 so she wouldn't be wondering where I was, so I was in the clear for the whole night now. When I stepped into the parking lot Vic wasn't there yet, no surprise since I practically ran out here. I leaned against his bike waiting for him. While I waiting Mike, Tony and Jaime came out and walked towards me.
"Hey" I waved at them, I figure Vic couldn't be too far behind.
"Hey" they said in unison. Mike took out a cigarette from his pocket and lit it once he was beside me. I didn't mind him smoking so I didn't bother moving away. Jaime and Tony both got on their bikes.
"Have a good night" Jaime said to me with a wink, I chuckled and looked away so he wouldn't tell I was blushing. He started up his bike and the loud engine filled my ears. I felt someone grab my waist and I turned to see it was Vic. His mouth moved but I couldn't tell what he was saying.
"What!" I said as Jaime and Tony finally left the parking lot, Vic laughed.
"You look good" he gave me a cheeky grin, I smiled in response.
"You ready?" He asked me and handed me his spare helmet. I found myself getting nervous. I've never been on the back of one of these before so I didn't know what to expect. He straddled his bike and patted the seat behind him for me to sit. "I'll keep you safe. Don't worry" He said to me as if he read my mind. I got on the back and fumbled to put on the helmet properly so he helped me strap it on.
"Where do I - um, hold on?" I asked him.
He laughed in response. "To me" he added a wink. I grabbed onto his waist and soon enough the loud engine filled my ears and we were off down the street. I could feel his muscular body beneath his clothing and I couldn't help but get a little bit excited. My hands had a mind of their own as they roamed his body slowly during our travel. By the time we reached our destination, which I had no idea where we were exactly, my hands had formed a grip onto his lower abdomen and hips. I liked the ride here, we were able to get very close.
"This looks nice" I noted. It was a small restaurant but I didn't need anything fancy, as long as I was with Vic I was happy. I passed the helmet to him as I admired the building.
"It is" he concluded, I felt his warm hand interlace with mine "Shall we?" I nodded and we fell into step together as we entered, Vic had made reservations so there was no waiting involved and we were quickly seated in the back in a booth. Vic ordered a lemonade, I ordered the same, and thus began our night.
"So," He started "This is kind of awkward isn't it?" He laughed.
"Maybe a little" I shrugged, this past week it had been a little awkward with him but for most of the part we were fine. It was when we didn't have anything to talk about it felt odd. He stared at me for a moment before smiling and looking away. "Tell me something about yourself" I asked him filling the silence.
