-POV: Kaleb

"Oh ****," I muttered under my breath.

"Do you have to curse with everything?" I heard Ariel complain.

So, picture this scenario. You and your friends, Percy and Ariel, are hanging out in house's backyard during a nice calm spring afternoon. Just as the sky turns a light purple, a giant rumble, followed by a giant robotic structure, decides to interrupt whatever good time you were having. (Seems like an appropriate time to curse if you ask me.)

"What is that thing?" Percy quietly asked. Just then, my phone vibrated. Ugh. It's Clean Mantyke. (Why did Ariel have to give him my number?) Out of all times, he decides it's time for a friendly conversation with his good pal Kaleb during the practical mini apocalypse of New Dice City. I begrudgingly answered my phone.

"What do you want now? My favorite color is still red if you're asking that for the fortieth time," I sighed as I answered.

"Oh good! I've been trying to call you for an hour now. Communications must've been opened up again. Also, still red? Try some variety. I'm feeling more of an orange mood today," Clean Mantyke frantically said through the phone.

"Whoa. Slow down. What's going on?"

"Johannsen was lying to us! Mantyke Colony is on conquest right now!" the Mantyke blasted through the speakers.

"Should that explain the giant machine moving towards the city?"

"That is Mantyke Colony! It's been mobilized. He's planning to take over New Dice City with his army once he reaches the center," Clean Mantyke explained.

"How do you know all of this stuff?"

"Well, the thing is, Chub-Tyke and I were always one of Johannsen's favorites for some reason, especially Chub-Tyke."

"Was it because Chub-Tyke would make the best meal?"

"What?! No! In Mantyke Colony, as you know, every Mantyke is the same. I follow that rule, but Chub-Tyke is the only different one. I'm sure you've noticed his difference in stature compared to me. Johannsen was intrigued by this and assigned Chub-Tyke a special assignment. The only reason I know about this was because Chub-Tyke is bad at secret keeping. Johannsen let me in on it and added me to it as well. Our goal was to keep record of our lives going to a New Dice City public school. The reason why, I don't know. It seemed simple and fun. As long as we made sure we never missed Peaceful Mantyke Time or any of the other designated activities, we were ok. Johannsen took Chub-Tyke with him to the central tower as his right-hand Mantyke. I'm sure Johannsen is up to no good. I need you guys to come help me!" Clean Mantyke babbled.

"Whoa whoa whoa. That's like scifi movie, futuristic society messed up," I said.

"I think a society where everybody works together and restrains from arguments sounds like a great idea!" Ariel piped in.

"Oh, why don't you just hop in with the Mantykes then. I'm pretty sure I see it sucking people up like an alien abduction. (Note to self, don't go underneath it.) I'd love to save the place I live in, but how are we supposed to get to you?!" I said.

"I'm in a small tower office by the edge of the Mantyke Colony Bubble Dome. There's a maintenance hatch right beside it. All you have to do is fly up there and get through the opening. Fly into the open window of my office and voila! You've arrived at your destination," Clean Mantyke explained.

"Sounds easy enough. Ariel and I can fly. I'll see you in a bit," I said as I shut my phone off. I looked over at Ariel.

"Ready to go?"
