Chapter 14

1 week later

I smiled to myself as I opened the door to our high school. People were throwing things and talking to people about their summers. A bunch of the guys were telling their friends about who they had sex with. Complete idiots I thought. I got excited when I saw Peter, Ned, Gwen, and M.J all smiling and waving at me. I started to walk faster only to be stopped by flash and his group of idiots. "Hey,Evelyn. Remember this summer?" He asked. He wanted me to lie. I rolled my eyes. "Oh wait you mean when you tried to rape me and got your ass beat by Spider-Man. Yep remember all of it. Bye flash." I said. I walked away and flash whistled. I rolled my eyes and ran towards my friends and boyfriend. I hugged Ned, Gwen and M.J when I got to them and wrapped my arms around peters neck and he wrapped his arms around my waist. "We're seniors!!" I said. He smiled and we kissed. Our friends clapped and laughed. I smiled as we pulled apart. I grabbed my books and we walked down the hall complaining that we have no classes together and laughing at all the jokes we had. I walked to my first class I had with M.J and Peter. "Bye guys! See ya at lunch." I told Ned and Gwen. They headed toward their classes and we took a seat next to each other in the classroom. "Class! Welcome back. We have a new student. He will be joining us for half the school year. Harry Osborne." The teacher announced. Peters head snapped towards the door when the teacher said his name. "Harry." He whispered. I just gave him a weird look and turned my attention back to the teacher.

"So who's Harry? You like flipped out." I told Peter. He slightly smiled. "He was my best friend when we were younger. He moved away and we lost contact." He said. I nodded my head. "Harry! Come sit with us." I said as Harry passed us. Gwen gave me a weird look but I just shrugged. Before lunch was over Harry was in our friend group.

"Okay. I'll see you next period." I told Peter. He nodded and kissed my cheek. "You guys are cute." Harry told me as we walked to our class together. "Yeah?" I asked. He nodded and I smiled. "I love him. I would do anything to make him happy." I stated. "I'm sure he would do the same for you." He said. I smiled. I waved goodby to him before going to sit next to Gwen.

"LETS GET PIZZA!!!" I yelled. Everyone wooed after I said that and we made our way to the pizza place. We ordered our pizza and sat down to eat it. "So, Harry seems nice." I stated. Peter nodded. "He is. I'm glad you guys are 'friends.'" He put quotation marks on the word friends. "He seems a little.....odd. But who am I kidding. We all are." Gwen added. I laughed and we cheered to it.

Everyone had went home and me and Peter walked home together. "You coming over?" I asked him. He nodded. "Yeah but not for long. I have to do spidey things." He said. I rolled my eyes.

We Got to my door and I turned around and hugged Peter. "Go do your whatever you call it. I'll see you tomorrow. We are walking to school together though." I told him. He chuckled. I kissed him goodbye and watched him run off. I unlocked my door and walked in. My breath hitched at the sight of my apartment. The drawers were pulled out of the cabinets. Things we're broken or stolen. There were broken plates and prices of paper everywhere. Shit. I thought. I heard a noise back in my bedroom. I grabbed a knife and a pan off the floor and headed towards my room. I felt something touch me. I'm screamed and swung my pan around. I held my eyes closed. I felt my pan stop and I opened my eyes. Tony was standing there with his eyes wide. "What the hell, tony?!" I yelled. I dropped the pan on the floor and set my knife down. "Why does my apartment look like this?" I asked him. "Someone broke in. I'm trying to see what was stolen." He said. I nodded my head. "Anything?" I asked grabbing the pan and knife. "Ummm just one thing so far." He said. I headed to the kitchen to start cleaning up. "What was it?" I asked. He didn't answer. I looked up. "Tony....what was it?" I asked again. He sighed. "Moms necklace. I'm sorry. I'll clean up here." He said. I couldn't even process what he said. He patted me on the back and I headed up to my room. The only thing that was messy was my desk. I sat on my bed and let the information set in. The only thing I have from my mom was gone. I laid down and held a photograph of all of us close to my chest. A couple tears came to my eyes but I wasn't technically crying. I heard a soft knock on my window and showed my hand to let Peter know he could come in. "Well, the giant lizard is gone." He said. I just nodded. "Do I have a change of clothes hear?" He asked. I simply nodded and pointed to the closet. "Hey, what's wrong?" He asked. I didn't say anything. I closed my eyes so he could change. I felt arm wrap around me. "What happened, E?" He asked. "My moms necklace is gone. Someone stole it. I...I miss her......so much." I said my voice cracking at the end. I put down the picture I held so I could cuddle into peter. "I know. I'm sorry. If I could bring her back I would in a heart beat" he whispered. "I just....I didn't even get to say goodbye. We were in a fight before she left. I never even got to tell her I loved her." I broke at the last part. I cried into peters chest. He rubbed my back and held me close to him. "I'm tired, pete." I said quietly. I laid down and he laid next to me. "I love you. You mean the world to me." He whispered. "I love you too. I hope you never leave. I seriously want to be with you for the rest of my life. I can't go one hour without missing you. And when you go do your Spider-Man thing I have a heart attack. I don't want you to leave. So please, don't leave me. Never stop hugging me. Never stop kissing me. Never stop cuddling me. Never stop loving me." I told him. He kissed me on the forehead. "I'll never leave. And I never plan on stopping. I love you so much. I promise you that one day I will put a ring on that finger and you will be mine forever." He said taking my hand. I smiled and looked towards him. "I can't wait." I whispered and connected the space between us.
