Chapter 20

"Please be careful. I love you." I said. I was putting his book bag in the trunk of a police car. "Do me a favor and shut that." He said. I nodded and went to shut it but peter webbed my hand to the car. "Sorry, I love you." He said before swinging off. "PETER!" I yelled. I put my hand on my mouth after realizing what I said.

I finally cut my hand free and started walking towards the big crowd. Something was flown towards me and I took a step back. "What the... hey are you okay?" I asked peter who was lying on the ground. He cursed under his breath. "Just peachy." He mumbled. He got up and I followed him. "No you stay here. You can't get hurt." He said. I jumped on his back. "I'm coming with you and that's final. Take me to the power thingy up there." I said. I pointed to the tower. "Look you can use his power against him. I know how to set it up just tell me when to push the button." I told him. He nodded and swung off. I turned everything on and put my hand above the button.

Peter's P.O.V

"PETER!" Evelyn yelled. I chuckled but my smiled disappeared when I learned what I had to deal with. This should be interesting. "Yo sparkles. Hey. How are you?" I asked him. He obviously didn't want to joke around. He shot electricity at me and I flipped. "Kay. Obviously your in a bad mood. My girlfriend gets like that." I told him. He yelled. I sighed and put webs all over him trying to contain him. He broke through all of them and shot me back. "What the....hey, are you okay?" Evelyn asked. I mumbled curse words. "Just peachy." I told her sarcastically. I got up and started to walk towards max again. She started to follow me. I rolled my eyes under the mask and stopped her. "No, you stay here. You can't get hurt." I told her. She sighed and I turned around. She jumped on my back and I began to run. "I'm going that's final. Take me to the power thingy up there." She told me. I laughed at what she called it and shot a web towards the tower. "Look, we can use his power against him. I know how to set it up I just need you to tell me when to press the button." She told me. I nodded and swung off to max. I walked into a area with thousands of weird towers. I was shot with electricity suddenly as a note played. The he did it again and again and again. "I hate this song." I groaned getting up from the ground. I shot a web to his hands, glueing in to the power. "EVELYN NOW." I yelled. I looked at her then to max. He was already starting to escape. "But Peter you'll die." She stated. I sighed and told her to press it again. This time she did.

Evelyn's P.O.V

"But Peter. You'll die." I told him. He jut yelled for me to do it. I looked away and slammed the button down. There was bright light that flashed. I ran out of the maintenance room and outside. There was a puff of smoke and when it moved out of the way peter stood there. In one piece. "I think we can still make your flight." He told me. I smiled and started to walk over to him but stopped dead in my tracks.
