chapter 37

"assemble" Steve finished. we all ran towards him. i focused on the actual people. they were easy. i took their weapons and used it against them. i could hear everyone talking around me but i didn't care. i took my anger out on his army. and in less than 10 minutes over 50 were already defeated. thanos stepped in front of me, pushing me down to the ground. i kicked and squirmed but he put his foot on my chest. the more pressure he put the more i couldnt breathe. "you deserve to die alone, you all do." he spoke putting more pressure on my chest. i clawed at his foot. "dont worry, shes not alone." wanda spoke. thanos looked up and was blasted off of me. i rolled on to my stomach and held onto my chest as i sat up on my knees. i coughed and breathed heavily as i struggled to stay calm. people were charging towards me and i crawled away. before they could reach me t'challa jumped in front of me blasting all of them away. i breathed out as he jumped into the air. i got on my feet and was ready to go find tony but i heard a very familiar yell. peter. i ran towards where i heard it but explosions were happening all around me. i screamed and covered my head as i hit the ground. i shook with fear as i heard yells and screams all around me. suddenly, the explosions were focused on something in the sky. i got up and continued to run until i found a glowing light. "hey peter Parker." i heard. my heart stopped as i heard his voice. the girls were crowding around where he was so i couldn't see him. "peter?" i yelled out. the girls turned to look at me and out of them i saw peter walk up the hole he was hiding in. he was hurt so badly. he had bruises all over his face. "eve..evelyn?" he spoke. i cried out as i limped over to him. "stop. don...dont hurt yourself." he said. i quickened my pace. "i dont care." i said. i finally reached him and grabbed his hands, pulling him into me. he held onto me so tightly and i heard a chorus of awes around us. "i... i thought i lost you." i sobbed into him. he squeezed me tighter. "baby its okay. im right here." he reassured. i couldnt stop crying. "im so sorry." i whispered in his ear. he shook his head. "no, dont apologize. its not your fault."he said. i pulled away to look him in the eyes. " i tried so hard to get you back. i filled note book and notebooks of ideas and none of them worked untill the last one i thought of and i never... i never forgot you. i told morgan about me and you everyday. i..i.." i tried to speak but i was so worked up. "hey, its okay im right here. im not going anywhere." he reassured. i nodded and wrapped my arms around his neck playing with his curls. "i missed you so much." i said. he wiped away my tears with his thumb. i rested my forehead against his. "i have been waiting for you for three years." i whispered. he smiled. i leaned forward and connected the space between us. i was finally where i needed to be. i was home. we pulled apart. "i love you." he said. i pulled him to me and hugged him again. "i love you too." i said. "anybody see a crusty old van anywhere?" steve asked. peter picked me up and our feet left the ground. "i see it." i told peter. "we found it." i said.another girl spoke up and told them where it was. The plan was too defeat thanks, gets the stones and get rid of his side of the fight, leaving us in victory. Scott and his girlfriend flew over to get the portal turned on as me and peter continued to fight to the best of our abilities.

i jumped on the back of thanos neck and held him as still as possible as peter swung webs all around him and tried to slip the gauntlet off. i will not loose him again.  it was almost off but thanos head butted peter and he went flying. i squeezed tighter as anger ran through my veins. "dont fucking touch him." i said as i twisted his head. i heard a pop and i was going to keep twisting but he threw me off of him and my back hit the side of a rock. i yelled out and peter rushed over to me, helping me up. he noticed the cut on my wrist and winced when he undid the cloth, replacing it with web fluid to help hold it together better. we looked back over and tony was being thrown. i yelled for him but peter held on to me. "no stay you cant go over there its too dangerous." he said. i watched intently as thanos spoke. "i am...inevitable." he said. i hid my face in peters chest and held on tight, afraid he was going to leave. i heard a snap but nothing happened. i looked up and saw the stones were missing. tony held his hand up and the power of the stones went through his body. i watched with tears in my eyes, knowing what was going to happen next. "no..." i breathed out perer wrapped his arms around me. "i am...iron man." tony said. he snapped his fingers and a bright light went off. i sobbed into peter. everyone from thanos' army was gone in a second and i ran to tony. "tony...tony answer me." i pleaded. he looked at me and peter. "mr.stark? its me. peter. we won. all because of you." peter told tony. i grabbed tonys hand. "no no no tony stay awake please." i begged he looked at peter and i. "take care of her" he spoke, his voice barely above a whisper. pepper pulled me away. i dropped to my knees and sobbed into peter.he rocked me back and forth to help calm me down but i could feel him shake. "tony. we're going to be fine." pepper spoke. "you can rest now." she said. i cried out as she said that and peters grip only tightened on me. i broke away from peter and crawled over to tony and cuddled into his side. i kissed him on the cheek and i sobbed into his shoulder. i tried to open my mouth but no words came out. I watched the light in his chest turned off. "tell mom and dad i said hi."

i stood next to peter and aunt may a little whiles back from the front of everything. morgan didnt understand what was going on but she knew her father was gone. everyone was taking it pretty hard. i looked up at peter and saw a tear roll down his cheek. i smiled through tears and wiped it away with my thumb. he looked down and smiled at me before wrapping his arm around my waist. i laid my head on his shoulder and held onto his waist. his funeral was classy but not too classy. it was perfect for him. after the funeral was over me and peter walked down to the edge of the dock. i grabbed the rose out of my hair and set it in the water. peter took ahold of my hand and kissed my forehead. we walked away hand in hand, i was going to miss staying with tony. it was fun but i was excited to go back to normal. i was in my room packing when peter walked in. i turned around quickly and tried to push him out but he wouldnt budge. "noo peter i have so many pictures of you all around my room its embarrassing get out." i whined he chuckled and walked into my room. "you're adorable." he said. i huffed and smiled, putting my hands on my hips. he walked over to me and put his hands on my waist pulling me close to him. he stared at me and i squirmed under his gaze. "have i ever told you how beautiful your are?" he said. i smirked and tilted my head. "uhh nope. i dont recall you ever saying that." i said teasing. peter hummed in response and leaned down to connect his lips with the skin on my neck. i bit my lip to stop from moaning as he bit and sucked on my collarbone. he trailed his kisses up my neck till he reached my lips. he took his thumb and put it on my bottom lip, making me stop biting it. "what did i tell you about that lip biting thing?" he teased. "to keep doing it?" i said innocently. he groaned in response as he picked me up. i wrapped my legs around him and tnagled my fingers in his curls. he moaned when i pulled on them and i smirked. he pushed me onto the bed and he was hoavering over me. "i am so in love with you." he told me. i smiled and connected the space between us. "ditto"
