Jefferson murmered as he squatted down to look at the discarded murder weapon, a bloody pocket knife.
Hamilton walked past him, looking at the couch the victim was found on. Whoever this guy was, it was a personal kill. He either really hates gay people, or he knew the victim.
"I'm going to call Peggy. See if she can remind me what the victim's names were."
Jefferson hummed in response, leaving the room to look around a bit more.
"Peggy."
"What do you need, babe?"
"What were the victim's names?"
"Hmm, they were... John André and... Theodosia Prevost."
"Theodosia Prevost? Wasn't she married to Burr? Isn't she straight?"
"Give me a moment..." Typind could be heard. "Nope. There is evidence she had been with girls before Burr. So, she's bisexual."
"...That's why Burr hasn't been around lately. Poor guy."
"Yeah... Anywho, there's-- Wait, give me a minute."
"Okay."
Hamilton was put on hold. He held the phone close to his ear.
"Jeffershit? Did you find anything?" He called loudly.
"Meh. Not anything new, asshole." Jefferson called from fairly far away.
"Okay, I'm back..." He could hear someone talking in the background. "They just found another body. By Clermont street." Peggy supplied frantically.
"Alright. Jeffershit! They found another body! We gotta go!"
"What?! Already?! It's only been a day since this dude's last kill! He's escalating." Jefferson said as he ran back into the room with Hamilton. "I'll be in the car, hurry up Hamilass."
Alexander glared at Jefferson as he jogged out the door. He heard a shout from the phone and quickly brought his ear back to it.
"Peggy? What's wrong?!"
"Oh my God... The-the victim... He-he's---"
"Who is it, Peggy?!"
"...M-madison..." She said in barely a whisper.
