Alexander looked up from his phone and directed his gaze towards Jefferson.

He was fast asleep.

"Jefferson. Psst, Jefferson!" Alexander hissed, poking him in the shoulder.

A snort and silence.

Hamilton didn't know how Thomas could sleep like that, his feet curled up tightly to his chest, and his neck craned over the side of the bench. His dark, frizzy curls of hair bushed out, giving him a lion's mane of sorts as his side moved up and down with his breaths.

His face looked absolutely... adorable when it wasn't screwed up in anger or exhaustion.

"Goddamn my raging bisexuality." Alexander mumbled to himself with a chuckle.

Hamilton is petty, not blind. He knows Thomas is hot as hell, and has the jawline of a god. If being absolutely adorable and sexy at the same time could kill, Alexander would drop dead on the spot.

A snore erupted from the sleeping man, and Alexander snapped out of his trance. "Oh Lord almighty, I cannot think about goddamned Thomas Jefferson this way." He whispered to himself, feeling a slight tug on his heartstrings anyway.

Just as he begins sorting his feelings in his mind, his phone vibrates against his butt.

TheGeneral: Good. I assume you'll be here before 6:15, son?

RightHandMan: Yes, sir. Don't call me son tho.

TheGeneral: Apologies.

Hamilton looked at Jefferson, groaning loudly before shaking him. All great things must come to an end, I guess.

Thomas moaned loudly, causing Alexander's face to heat up.

"Oh, my neck." Jefferson said softly, slowly pushing himself into a sitting position. "Where am I?" He looked over and saw Alexander's tinted red face with a sigh. "Why are you here? I feel sick."

"You got drunk. Now, you're less drunk. We have to go interrogate some suspects." Hamilton stood up. "Get you're drunk ass up and into my car. We're going to the office."

Thomas didn't even retort or respond. He just stood up and trailed behind Alexander as they made their way towards the black, work-issued SUV.

"My head.." Thomas groaned as he plopped himself into the passenger side seat, holding his throbbing forehead.

"Buckle up."

"I'm not a child, Hamilton."

"Well you act like one so much, it's hard to tell!"

"My fucking head is splitting in half right now, can we not?!"

Jefferson snapped as he clicked his seatbelt in.

"Thank you."

"Fuck you."

"Is that an invitation?"

"Hmm, not yet."

Alexander laughed airily. It may or may not have made Thomas's stomach butterflies have a fucking seizure. Hamilton's laugh was such a pleasant sound when it wasn't laced in arrogance.

"So, who are we interrogating?" Thomas asked a few minutes later, turning down the overplayed pop song playing over the radio.

"Two people. James Reynolds and his wife, Maria Lewis, or Reynolds. James Reynolds had a past as a teen of bullying and beating up other teenagers who happened to be gay, or bisexual, some to the point of death. He was put in Juvy for a little bit, so he's a definite main suspect right now. His wife could be an accomplice." Hamilton explained as he drove into the parking lot.

"Alright. So, how are we going to interrogate them?"

"I was thinking bad cop, good cop. I haven't used that method in a while."

"Okay. I call bad cop."

--

"Look, man. We just need an answer and we'll leave you alone. Where were you earlier today in the timeframe of 3-4PM?"

Hamilton asked calmly, sitting down in the seat. They had been interrogating for almost an hour now, and all the man did was nod, shake his head, or say a few words with a fake smile.

Thomas had been playing bad cop well. "This is so stupid." He mumbled in a faux angry tone.

"Jefferson, stop being immature."

James Reynolds smiled fakely at them both.

"So, are you two dating? You fight like a married couple." James asked with a mischievous smirk and disgusted glimmer in his eyes.

Thomas looked taken aback.
"N-no. What the fuck?"

Alexander forced himself to giggle softly, glancing at Thomas. He knew that Reynolds was homophobic, so if he could make Reynolds uncomfortable, he might start fessing up.

"Thomas," Jefferson tensed. "It's okay. I know you want to keep it secret, but let's just let him know."

"Wh--"

Hamilton took a deep breath and put his arm around Jefferson's neck, causing him to turn his head and look at Alexander.

And then he kissed him.
