2,Winter

Winter was nervous as he approached Moon in the prey center. "You can do this," he told himself. "I mean, how can she say no to a handsome IceWing prince like me, right?" Winter finally spotted her, and saw that she was sitting with Kinkajou and Turtle. "Great. The others are with her. Deep breath Winter, deep breath." Suddenly, Winter found his feet slipping out from under him. He fell face forward and hit his snout on the table in front of him with a loud clang. Everyone in the prey center was watching including Moon. Kinkajou rushed over. "I knew IceWings could breathe frost, but I never knew they accumulated it on their feet!" Turtle doubled over, laughing. He seemed to eat up everything Kinkajou said. Winter felt sorry for the poor guy. Some people just aren't as good as catching the ladies as he is, he sighed. Better give him some advice later.

Winter got up and rushed over to Moon. "Hey, can you hang out tomorrow? I was thinking we could fly to the ocean for the day and maybe observe some scavengers, or go and admire the beauty of the Ice Kingdom?"

Moon seemed slightly offended by this. "Well," she said. "I'm not sure if tomorrow could really work, um but if I could come maybe we could do something I actually enjoy?"

Winter was startled. He chose his favorite activities, so why did Moon seem hesitant about hanging out tomorrow?

Moon got up abruptly . "I'm going to the cave."

"Are you feeling okay? I can take you to see Sunny if you need it? Or Peril. She is surprisingly good at healing. Remember what she did to Clay after th----"

Moon interrupted him. "I'm fine, really Winter. I need to grab some um, scrolls. Kinkajou, come with me." "Okay!" The colorful RainWing bounced behind her.

Winter turned to Turtle. "What was that all about?"

"Erm, I'm not really sure," the timid animus SeaWing mused. "Were you trying to ask her out or something? Because um, Qibli li-----ARGH!!! What am I saying? Oh man, Qibli is going to have my talons for this."

"Oh, I already know that. But I beat him to asking her out, so everything is going to be okay. Right?"

A/N: This is my first fanfic. If you are wondering when it is set, it is after book seven, before the Darkstalker mess. This will have no spoilers past book seven!
