Toka-nii's words really stuck with me since the bus ride. To be honest, I wasn't really sure how to answer.

It startled me, that's for sure. I couldn't help but feel uneasy.

"Kuro-kun, are you alright? You've been pretty off since we got off the bus. I'm worried."

My head shot up as I heard Suka's soothing voice interrupt my swirling thoughts.

"Ah, no, Su-chan, I am alright. I apologize for making you worry..."

"No, no, it's okay. I'm glad you're alright then." He gave his signature kind smile before going back and joining Kotoru.

"Woah! This place is huge!" Idaya cried out in awe. Yeah, Akashi's house here really was huge. Then again, they all were. I remember when we were in middle school and we—No. No, I can't be thinking about that right now. Tch. How lame.

Toru whistled, clearly impressed. "This place really is cool. I can't believe you used to have a teammate like this, Kuro-san."

"Yeah! I'm surprised too!" Keiji exclaimed in agreement with equal awe as Keika sighed out. "It is quite impressive..."

"I wonder if he has a weapons room..." Ryosai grinned widely while Mayuzumi rolled his eyes.

"Or a training room. Or a gym!" Risa's eyes seemed to sparkle at the thought.

"Geez. We have the weirdest teammates ever," Mayuzumi scoffed, hand on hip.

"Come on, Mayu-chan, don't be such a downer." Ogiwara gave a chuckle as he offed Mayuzumi's back. "We're here to have fun, not stress out. Same goes to you, Kuro-chan," Ogiwara said firmly with a reassuring smile sent my way.

Mayuzumi rolled his eyes before Tokatsu's hand went to his head with a laugh.

"This'll be fun!" Mayuzumi's face burned to red before nodding a little too eagerly.

I stepped forward with Ogiwara in front of the group. We lead them to the main doors. I've never been to this particular estate, but most of them consisted of the same thing in my past experiences. It was basically a vacation home for Akashi. Ogiwara took charge and knocked on the door. After a brief moment, the doors opened wide, revealing the Generation of Miracles and Kagami standing in the doorway.

"Welcome, guests," Akashi greeted with a nod of his head. He wore a dark bloody red yukata. He usually liked to wear things like that whenever we did these types of events. I never understood why really, even to this day.

Regardless, he stuck to it.

"Right now, I want you all to be accustomed to this manor, so please make yourselves at home. Snacks shall be prepared with the futons, so please be patient and feel free to wander around."

"But it's so big..." Risa muttered to herself in slight worry.

"Ah, here is a map then." Akashi dug into his long yukata's sleeve, pulling out a folded paper.

"Here. We get that concern a lot here." He nodded, handing it to her. I remember our first time. Kise got lost and screamed for Akashi or his mommy. Big difference. That's when it was issued to make maps. Your whining did good for once. Thank you (?), Kise. "The others have already went their ways. We have a calling system to summon everyone when ready. Please enjoy yourselves until then," Akashi said. Akashi may be a high and mighty emperor, but he was also a very gracious and becoming host.

Naturally, everyone split up as told.

"Hey, Daiki, bet I can kick you ass in the NBA video game again," Kagami began, grinning wide. Everyone knew it was an order from Akashi to leave. It was only natural they follow, of course. For once in such a long, long time, Kagami had made me relieved. Though, it did surprise me that him and Aomine were on first name basis.
