They enter the classroom and site down next to Abigail, Kat and Justin. Kat and Justin are sitting in the same chair holding hands. Mickey sees them and pretends to gag. Abigail laughs and Kat gives her a death stair.
"what? it's gross!" She says.
Justin gives her a wet kiss on the cheek and hugs her tightly.
Mickey rolls her eyes "you guys are discussing, get a room"
"they tried, but the janitors closet was occupied" Abigail says and laughs even harder.
Justin and Kat aren't even listening they seem to be entranced in each others eyes. On a chance to change the topic Amber talks to Kat about the project coming up in graphic design. Mickey and Sophia talk about plans for after school.
"so I was thinking I could just ride home with you and then we could go to the mall after" Mickey says as another friend walks in. Ian comes over to Sophia and Mickey.
"hey guys" hey says with the cutest little smile Mickey has ever seen.
"hey" she says waving. Something about Ian makes Mickey feel protective over a situation. Ian goes over to talk to Justin.
Sophia turns to Mickey. "he was totally into you! didn't you see his eyes?!"
Mickey just stares at Sophia. She knows that Ian likes her, but does she like him? It's hard to say because she hasn't had a real crush on someone for a while.
"I don't know, he's more of brother to me than anything" Mickey shrugs and walks over to the others who are talking about going to the local diner tonight.
Sophia just shakes her head and walks over too.

Mickey makes her way to science class. She sees Katie sitting in her regular spot. Her heart flutters a little bit but doesn't seem to notice or mind for that fact. She walks over and sets her stuff down. Mickey admires how cute she looks today.
Her long strawberry blond hair is in a bun, but as the day has passed its fallen down at the sides. she's looking down so her harry potter style round glasses have fallen to the tip of her nose. She's already started on her homework from the class before.
Katie looks up when and sees mickey standing there staring. "what?" she says.
Mickey's face turns a tint of rosy pink and hides her face from Katie.
"nothing just that your hair is falling" Mickey says, resisting the urge to push it back herself.
'oh" she says a little pink too, pushing the hair behind her ear. Why was Mickey so giggly? Is it because Katie is such a good friend? Or something else?
She decided to just leave it alone. They got to work on the project and talked during class. Mickey was laughing and Katie was laughing. They never did get much work done. Every time Mickey and Katie were in the same class nothing ever gets done.
"That's probably why I failed math last year" Mickey thought to herself.
The class ended and mickey left the class walking with Katie, even though it wasn't in the direction she needed to go in. She didn't know what is was but Mickey was just drawn to Katie.
As they laughed Katie said, "Don't you have to get to drama?"
Mickey suddenly remembered that she was in school.
"oh shit!" she started running in the other direction dropping a few papers as she went.
Katie snickered to herself and picked up the papers she dropped. She'll give them back sometime, and it's an excuse to talk to her...
Katie walked into art with a grin on her face.
