Michael's POV:

"What took you so long?" Calum asked once I finally returned.

"Okay, I don't need any of your sass. You didn't just go shopping for a girl who wasn't with you, and you barely know her sizes." I said already irritated from all of the shopping.

"Oh shut up. I wasn't going to 'sass' you, whatever that means. So, can I leave now? I'm bored."

"Yeah go ahead. Thank you."

* 5 minutes later*

"Hey Rose, Remember that time when we were in Maine. Sixth grade had just ended. Both our moms, Emma, and us were there. It was around 10 p.m. and the three of us snuck out to Long Sands. You were so happy, The rocks finally moved to Short Sands and you could finally go barefoot." I paused to chuckle remembering how she skipped along the beach. "I have to confess, I didn't find that tequila at the beach. I took it from the house. I remember playing truth or dare and how Emma dared us to kiss. Oh, man! I've been dying to kiss you again ever since. I remember how you convinced us to go skinny dipping. Oh, I should never have brought the tequila, you were so wasted." I paused again to blink away the tears forming in my eyes. "I remember how at four in the morning we got our asses when our moms caught us sneaking back in. But, you still came to my doorway and told me that you wanted  more nights like this, but only with me. I can recall when you sat on my bed that night with your head in y lap crying, as you told me how your father beat you and all the names that he called you. And how all you wanted was a prince to take you away." Pausing I wiped my face as the tears rolled down my cheeks.

"Rose, I want to be your prince. I want to be the one who takes you away from all the bad things in this world. I want to give you an infinite amount of nights like that so you never have to cry again." I finished sobbing like an idiot.

                                      "But you can't" Rose said awaking.
