The Punishment

The bell rings and we haven't finished the picnic yet. "Well thanks for joining me. It was good while it lasted." He said getting up. "Where arr you going Shawn. We have an A in that class plus extra credit. We're good for missing one period." He stood there thinking. "Your right." He said sitting back down. We sat there talking for a while and laughing. "Hey why aren't you two in class?!" Yelled one of the security guards. "Run" Said Shawn. We got up and ran as fast as we could. We got trapped by the fence and the guard was catching up to us. "There's no way out Shawn." I said. "Climb it." He said. We started climbing the fence and we jumped out of the school. We started running hand in hand. We run to the mall. We run in and we start laughing. We walk around for a while. We forget that we're holding hands and some of Shawn's fans come up to him. He takes pictures with them one at a time as we still hold hands. "You two are such a cute couple Shawn." Says one of his fans. "Wait what?" I said. We pulled our hands out of eachother's. "We're just friends." Said Shawn. "But you guys were holding hands." Said one of his fans. "Yeah because we forgot we were." He explained. "Oh ok sorry." They said. They gave Shawn a hug and left. "Sorry about that Mads." He said. "It's fine Shawn. You don't have to apologize." I said. He smiled. We walked around for a while. We knew school was over so we started walking back.

"Thanks again for the picnic Shawn, that was really sweet." I said as we got to the school. "Your welcome Maddie." I gave him a kiss on the cheek and went to my friends.

It's the next day and I get dressed in a crop top and high-waisted jeans. I put on my flats and I left my hair down. After I out on my makeup I drove to school.

When I arrived I went straight to my locker. I got my stuff and bumped into Shawn. "Oh hey." He says. "Hey." I said. "I was wondering if you want to hang out today?" He asked. "Yeah sure." I said. The bell rang and we walked to class together. After a few minutes of class our names got called to the office. We walked up to the office together. "Madison, Shawn please take a seat." Said our principal. We sat down. "Why did you two skip class? School is very important. You guys need education." We stood quiet. "It-it- it was my fault." Said Shawn. My eyes widened and I turned to him. "No it was my fault." I said. "No it was me Madison is just trying to protect me. I told her to skip and then I made her climb the fence and ditch school." He said. "Shawn come with me." Said the principal. He got up. "Shawn I can't let you do this." I said. "It's already done Mads." He said as he walked out the door to the principal. Why did I let him do that? Oh my gosh I'm so dumb.

It's lunch time and u see Shawn. I rush up to him. "Shawn!" I yell. He turns around and smiles. "Hey Maddie." He said. I finally reached him. "Why did you do that?" I asked him. "Because I can't let you get in trouble." He said. "And why is that?" I asked. "It's because I'm in love with you Madison I've always been in love with you. Madison I can't let the person I'm in love with get in trouble." He said. I crashed my lips on his. "What was that for?" He asked. "Shawn it was for everything you just said thank you so much Shawn." I said. "Your welcome Madison." He said. "Maddie come!" Yelled Carly. "I'll be right there" I yelled back. I gave Shawn a hug. "Thanks again Shawn." I said. I walked back to my friends.
