a date?

Jane Quinn.
I walk around the house with Bear in my arms. Having one kid was something I could live with. But 2 kids is a whole lot more work. I know I have Camilla here to help me, but I want back in the game. I mean, Liam and I aren't dating, we don't even have feelings for each other. I think.

"Hello family!" Liam yells as he walks into the house. Lacy runs up to him and he picks her. He kisses her cheek and puts her down. I walk over to him with Bear. He hugs Bear and then Lacy says the most unexpected thing ever;

"Why don't you kiss each other?" She asks.

"Why do you ask that?" I ask her.

"I see people in movies kiss each other all the time. They say it's a way of showing someone you love them." She says.

"Well then, we'll kiss." Liam says. He puts Bear in his bed. He turns to me and hugs me tightly. He wraps his arms around my waist and kisses me. I kiss back. I wrap my arms around his neck. My leg flips up, in a pop, like they do in the movies.

We break apart. "May I take you on a date miss?" He asks. "Yes, you may." I say. "Be ready at 6, dress casual but cute." He says. I nod. He leaves and I turn to Lacy. She's smiling at me. "That was better than in the movies." She says. "Lacy honey, mommy and daddy kiss. But we don't normally do it in front of you." I say to her. "Oh I didn't know that."
I lied to her, I know. But she genuinely needs to believe that we're a couple.

Wait a second,

Liam asked me out,

And I said yes.

What was that?
