Jane Payne.
"I hate that you're not the one carrying this baby." I say while sitting up from the bed in pain. "I'm sorry honey, but you're already so far along. Only 3 more months." He says before kissing my cheek. "SHUT UP I'M DYING HERE!" I scream at him.
"I'm sorry baby." I say bursting out into tears. "Aw, you don't have to apologize for being so hormonal." He says rubbing my back. "I was apologizing to the baby idiot!" I snap.
"Why am I even awake?" I ask falling back onto the bed. "Because you have to go to the doctor." He says making it sound like a question. "Shitaki mushrooms!!" I scream. I try to get up but it didn't work.
"Liam!!"
"God damnit Liam, couldn't you try to wake me up earlier?" I ask while driving to the doctor, noticing that we're half an hour late.
"Well I'm sorry Medusa. But I was almost turned into stone like four times today and it's only 9 pm." He laughs.
"Okay bye." I say before walking into the office.
"Hello, miss Payne. I'm doctor Shang. Now please take your shirt off so we can start." The doctor smiles at me.
I do as told and take my shirt off. I lay down and she rubs cold gel on my stomach.
"Okay. Now let's start." She says putting the wand on my stomach. I look at the TV and smile as a see a small baby.
She moves it to the other side of my stomach and we see another baby.
"Congratulations, you're having twins." She says happily.
"I'm gonna put the sound on so you can hear the hearts." She says. Then I hear 2 thumps. I start to get teary while looking at the screen.
"A girl and a boy."
"Thank you for everything." I say to her before walking outside. I get into the car and hug Liam. "Wow, Medusa has calmed down." He smiles. "Like Te Ka and The Fiti from Moana." Lacy laughs.
"Everything is fine and there's even a surprise."
"Oh really?"
"Yeah."
