I walk to the beach after hearing that the love of my life is engaged.
I sit down on the sand and stare out to the ocean. A few minutes later I feel someone sit down next to me. I look beside me and see Harry.
"Hey." I say.
"You know, staring out into the ocean and being sad it's going to get her back." He says.
"She's engaged. What am I supposed to do?" I ask.
"Chase her. Sweep her off her feet. Remind her why she fell in love with you. Remind her why you fell in love with her." He says.
"You're right. But first I think I just need to talk to her. One on one." I say before standing up and walking away. I turn back around to Harry.
"Thanks Mate." I smile before running to the only place I know Jane will be.
I enter Starbucks and see her sitting there. I walk up to her.
"Jane, I need to talk to you." I say sitting down.
"Liam." She says.
"Look, I know you're engaged but I love you and you love me. If you don't look me in the eyes and tell me you don't love me." I say.
"I" she starts.
"Tell me you didn't love every second we spent together." I say.
She just looks at me.
"We've been through so much to just give up on us." I say.
"I love him now. It's easy to love him." She answers.
"But is easy always the best way? We fought for what we have Nd now you want to throw it away like it was last year's news." I say.
"That's because it was. You and Cheryl got back together and I'm with Ben now." She says standing up and walking away.
She didn't say no.
