I dropped Pepper off where she needed to be. I looked at my phone and I got a text telling me where Fury was at. I got to the place where I needed to be, and I pulled up to a gym. Before I got out of the car, I checked my makeup and my hair. I got out of the car and I smoothed my hands over my shirt and pants, Fury walked over to me.
"Agent Coulson, did you give the file to Mr. Stark?" he asked me.
"Yes, sir." I reply.
"Okay, lets go in and talk to Cap, and remember: feelings need to be separate from work." he says looking at me.
"Yes, sir." I reply yet again. We walk down a hall, and no one is here, we stand in this little corner watching, "Stay by this wall till I call you in, got it?" Fury said.
"Okay." I stood by the wall like he told me to. Fury stood there by me and we both stood there and watched Steve quietly. I kept my head down, but I finally looked up. I see a tall blond man, hitting the punching bag with great force. He hit it over, and over, and over, he hit it with great force, and the bag flew across the room. All I could hear was his heavy breaths leaving his mouth, and he still doesn't see us. He turns around, picks up another bag, and starts to punch it. Fury finally spoke,
"Trouble sleeping?" he asked. I looked at my watch and it was already night, I didn't even notice how fast time flew by. Fury began to walk towards Steve, and he replies, "I slept for seventy years, sir. I think I had my fill." I stayed where I was until I was called over. They continue to talk while, and I just stare at Steve, and he doesn't notice me. I start to listen again, and Steve asks, "Are you here with a mission, sir?" Steve is so polite.
" I am." Fury answers.
"Trying to get me back in the world?" Steve asks.
"Trying to save it. Agent Coulson bring the file." The moment I have been dreading, has finally come, it was silent. I start walking towards them, and all you can hear is the sound coming from my heels against the wood flooring. Steve looks up at me, "Charlie?"
