It was just another typical day. My friend, Baylie, and I were just hanging out at her grandmother's house. Nothing special was going on. Just the three of us, but as the day went on, it didn't look to good for Baylie's grandmother.
Something was wrong with Baylie's grandmother. We were just having a normal conversation when she all of a sudden started coughing very hard. She could still breath, but when she would try to talk, she coughed between every word.
We were in the middle of no where, so the nearest hospital was miles away, and Baylie nor I could drive a car, so we did not know what to do. "Wait," a lightbulb lit up in my head. "What?" Baylie asked. "I know where we can go," I replied. When I told her the place, she had a worried look on her face. She shook her head no while I nodded my head yes.
We hooked up a little, homemade trailer for Baylie's grandmother to lie down on so I could ride the four wheeler to that place. Baylie sat beside her grandmother the whole ride there.
When we finally got there, we did not even have to knock or ring a doorbell. They heard Baylie's grandmother coughing, so they opened the gates and allowed us in right away.
We were welcomed by two men. Their names were Tyler and Kaleb. They took a look at Baylie's grandmother and started talking to us. "Would you guys mind staying here for a month?" Tyler asked. Baylie and I asked why, and he told us that was how long it would take them to heal her. We agreed and Tyler took us to a room for Baylie's grandmother to stay in.
After he settled Baylie's grandmother in her bed, he showed us to where we would stay. "One thing," I mumbled. He turned to me and asked what I wanted. "If you kill her," I then pulled out my gun and pointed it at him and threatened him, "I will shoot you, and I won't hesitate." His eyes grew wide and promised he wouldn't.
When Tyler and Kaleb got back to the main desk, Kaleb had a confused look on his face. "Why did you say it would take her a month to heal?" He asked, "It will only take her a couple days." Tyler had a guilty look on his face after being asked. Kaleb had a worried look on his face. "What?" He asked. Tyler looked at him and said, "Reasons." "Let me guess, you like one of those girls don't you?" Kaleb asked, hoping he was wrong. As Tyler nodded his head, Kaleb mumbled, "Oh, God."
That night, Baylie and I tried to comfort her grandmother so she wouldn't worry too much. "Are you sure about this Savanna?" Baylie whispered to me. "I'm positive." I smiled at her and we walked to our rooms for some rest.
