Right before I left for another date with Tyler, Baylie stopped me and asked, "What are you going to do when this is over." I thought about that for a little bit and that made me feel hollow inside. "I don't know," I replied as I walked out the door.
On our way to the field, I asked Tyler about the problem. "That had never crossed my mind," he replied. I could feel tears starting to run down my face. "What would you do," I asked. He answered, "I'd try to live with you." A smile ran across my face when he mentioned that.
Once we settled in the bed of Tyler's truck, I started thinking of what Tyler had said earlier. "What about your job?" I asked, "If you try to live with me, will you still be able to go to work?" Tyler sat there and thought for a few minutes. "I would try my best to make it work, and if it doesn't, I'll quit my job and stay with you." I could not tell you how happy I felt inside.
The next morning was confusing. Once Tyler woke up, he woke me as well. "Last night was crazy," he mumbled as he sat up. I nodded my head and realized how late of morning it was. "Hey babe," I asked faintly. He turned toward me as I continued. "How come we didn't get up early to get back?" Apparently he had the day off. "Really?" I asked as I sat up. "Yes. We can do whatever we want all day," he added. We looked at each other and I giggled as we laid back down.
Baylie had noticed that I was gone, and started to get worried. When Kaleb walked in, Baylie asked where Tyler and I were. "I gave Tyler the day off," he told her, "He took Savanna with him." Baylie's grandmother whispered to Baylie, "I wonder what they're doing." Baylie started laughing and said, "Probably not, but you never know."
That night, Tyler and I started talking about me leaving once again. "I really don't want to loose you," he started. "I really hope I can live with you and still go to work." I could tell he started to cry. I told him how long it took me to get from Baylie's grandmother's house to here. He was surprised. "I'm not sure if that would work," I added. "Plus, that's not where I live." He changed the subject and asked me about going back. I wanted to stay, but I was not sure if he wanted to, so I said it was his choice. Of course he wanted to stay.
When I did not come back that night, Baylie got really worried. She asked Kaleb once again where Tyler and I were. Kaleb told her again, "Don't worry. They're alright." Baylie doubted that and couldn't sleep that night.
