The next morning, I realized Baylie was not in bed, which scared me. I was terrified that something happened to her. I ran to her grandmother's room to check if she was there. I was relieved when I saw Baylie beside the bed. "Hi, Savannah," she said with a smile on her face. I glared at her and said in an angry tone, "You scared me so bad." Baylie gave me a confused look. "You weren't in the room when I woke up," I continued, "I thought something happened to you." The smile she had on her face faded as I said that. "Sorry," she whispered to herself.
Tyler came in to give Baylie's grandmother her pill. As he asked how we were doing, he rapped his arm around my shoulder. "Fine," I answered with a smile on my face as I looked up at him. He talked to us for a while before he left.
"Can I talk to you for a minute, Savanna?" Baylie asked. I nodded my head and followed her to our room. "Is there something going on between you and Tyler?" She asked. I did not want to tell her so I tried to lie, "What? No." I felt a smile coming across my face, so I turned away to hide it. "You turn away quickly when you lie," she added. I yelled at her, "Shut up." She chuckled and shook her head.
