The next morning, Kaleb came in and showed us a pill. "She will have to take this pill twice a day for her to heal well," he told us. We nodded our heads and gave her the pill right away.
A couple hours later, Baylie's grandmother started to choke once again. We thought she was trying to talk, then nothing. Tyler came in with a smile on his face. Once I saw him, I screamed, "Why!" Then pulled out my gun and shot him in the shoulder. I walked over him, pointed my gun at him and continued. "I thought you wouldn't kill her?" He replied, "There is still a way to keep her alive." "Then do it!" I screamed at the top of my lungs.
Kaleb came in and gave her a shot. I watched as he gave it to her. I was still standing over Tyler with my gun pointed at him. When she came back and was alright, I looked back at Tyler and helped him up. I told him that I would help him with his shoulder. I followed him to the main desk downstairs.
As I was taking the bullet out of his shoulder, he asked, "Why did you shoot me?" I gave him a cold glare and replied. "I told you if you tried to kill her, I'd shoot you with no hesitation. You seemed to be brave enough to test if I really meant it." He nodded his head and promised not to do it again.
I got ahold of the bullet and warned Tyler, "This may hurt." When I ripped the bullet out of his shoulder, he sighed in relief. "That feels so good," he mumbled. I sat beside him with the bullet in my hand. He asked why I was just sitting there holding it. "If you try to pull that again," I warned him, "another one of these will go into your other shoulder." His eyes widened and he nodded his head.
Right before I went to bed, Baylie asked me, "Why did you help take the bullet out of his arm?" "To teach him a lesson," I replied. She gave me a confused look, so I rephrased what I had said. "I took the bullet out to show him that if he tried to pull that again, another one of those was going in his other shoulder." Baylie chuckled and we went to bed.
