Moss and Leaves

I looked toward the trees at the figure. I couldn't exactly make out whom it was, but I had a strange feeling that this was yet another person that we had to add to our journey... Another figure appeared out from the trees, as they both stared at us.

Me observing them, broke away from Tayln and I's conversation.

"Something wrong, Shadow?" Tayln asked, as she saw me looking at the trees in the distance. She looked to where I was looking, and she saw it as well.

"Stay here. Don't worry and make sure the others do not worry as well." I told her, while I got up and began walking toward the figure.

"W-Wait, where are you going?" She questioned. I looked back to her from the distance and my hair drifted with the wind.

"I-I've got to go towards the figure... I need to see whom this is." I left without answering anymore questions. I couldn't just wait, I had to go. I had to stop procrastinating, because once I stopped, I would get a whole lot more things done.

I ran toward the figure in the distance.

Before they could make out my form, I transformed into my wolf form and slowed my pace. I silently walked up to them in the snow.

I could see the shoe-tracks turn into wolf tracks, which was cool to see.

Once I reached them, they seemed startled at my presence, but they didn't seem too afraid. They didn't back away, after all.

I didn't speak. I just waited. I sat down into the snow until one of them spoke...

Yep, I was face to face with Matpat and Stephannie, his wife.

"H-Hey, t-there-" Matpat began to reach out, but I just spoke up allowing his hand to back off.

"I'm Shadow." I quietly said. They looked starstruck, just like all of the others... They all had the same exact reaction.. I mean, who wouldn't.

"Down there, they are my pack. We're called Team Wolf. Do you have anywhere to go?" I stood up and faced both of them. They turned their heads to each other and looked back down at me.

"Actually, we don't." Matpat confirmed. I nodded. They seamed fearful of me, but that was to be expected.

"Why don't you come join us..." I began.
"In the end of the world." Mat and I both said in unison.

"Heheh, come on." I say, spreading my wings and taking off toward the flatland where the rest of the pack was.

I made an exceptional landing, as I still was standing when I landed. I folded my wings back to my sides, and transformed back into human disguise form.

Matpat and Stephannie ran down the hill that they were standing on, and they came towards our pack.

The others noticed and stood in the back of me. When Matpat and Steph finally reached us, they haulted to a stop.

I smiled a broke smile, and I waved to them. They slowly walked closer and I introduced everyone.

"Welcome to Team Wolf." I did a little gester with my hand. "This is Thomas, Joan, Tayln, and you probably know him, but he's Nate." I remembered that Nate and Mat had done multiple collabs on both of their channels.

"Hey, Mat!" Nate waved.
Mat smiled and waved back, "Hello, Nate!"

"...And you already know me, I'm Shadow." I said, stating the obvious.

Their eyes widened, as they realized it was me. I slightly laughed, but awkwardly made it worse.

"Anyways," I rubbed my hands together. "There's something I have planned." I had thought of this while having extra thinking time... Nate's wolf form had to be awoken, and I knew that Joan, Tayln and Thomas were not human, either.

Matpat and Steph didn't seem like humans at all. Infact, Mat seemed more like a demon and Steph seemed more like an angel.

"Alright... There's much work we need to get done. Since this is the end of the world, we all need to know how to fight... Together." I wouldn't let anyone else die! Not while I was here.
A new sheriff has come to town, folks.

...There was one thing that Joey and the others hadn't practiced... And that was working together. We had to do this...

"Then this means..." Nate smirked, equipping his blade and sticking it out for everyone to see. "I can use this." Nate got excited.

I nodded, and he cheered.
I quietly laughed.

And, again, I had no idea where these people got their weapons from?? I didn't think much of it after that, though. At least we had weapons!

Thomas got out his sword as well, and held it to his chest. Joan got out his dagger, Tayln her baseball bat, and Mat and Steph had a sword and shield.

Mat the sword, and Steph had a shield.
A fighting couple? I admired that. I also thought that it was very cute. I mean, it reminded me of Blackout and I...

I summoned my bow.
"Let's begin."

I first had them all practicing fighting on their own. Independent fighting, to get them used to their weapon. This would help them gain faith and trust with their weapon, which, was very important.

I observed each of them very carefully, giving them tips on how to improve.

Thomas flailed his sword all around, which, would easily dullen and break his sword.

"No, no... Watch me." I practiced my Cherry-Blossom fighting stance, and he copied it. You had to have a correct stance while fighting, otherwise you would be caught off guard.

I then went over to him, and showed him how to properly hold his sword. "Keep it steady..."

"Steady? Got it!"

I released and then showed him how to stab and how to dodge, two very necessary things you have to do in fighting.

I took a stab at the air with my bow, and he copied. I then held the wider part of the bow to my chest to dodge, and he copied.

"Good! Now all at once!"
Thomas did everything at once, and it was perfect.

"Was that good?" He asked, looking at me. I gave a thumbs up.

I then headed toward Joan and Tayln, whom both needed help with how to swing/slash at their opponents.

I taught them the circle slash, which would knock out all of the opponents surrounding them. They practiced, and they got better.

I then moved onto Nate, whom was actually really good with his sword skills for a beginner. All he needed to learn was how to escape...

I showed him the circle slashing, and then the leaping out of action move. He mastered the move in seconds, which I was proud of.

I then moved onto Matpat and Steph, which both of them knew how to independently fight, but I knew they had to learn how to work together...

I began teaching them.
"Okay, now Mat, when Steph has her shield under you, jump up and leap off the shield as the boost. Steph, you then move at one with Mat to have his back." I instructed and they preformed it, but had a little trouble with it.... They eventually caught on, and just in time, too...

Zombie were approaching.
