Chapter 11

Light streams through the thin curtain into my face waking me up.

I open my eyes, sighing and sit up. I quickly get out if bed an grab some clothes from my jumbles mess if clothes in my drawer. I pull on a purple sport bra and black running shorts and socks. I pull my hair into a high ponytail and grab the first pair if sneakers I can find, my phone and headphones.

I run downstairs hearing voices. I slow down and tip toe near the kitchen.

"Mom, it's not like we can pick off where we left off. she's been away for like a huge part of my life." says I think Linsey

"Look you have to understand that she is going through a hard time." Says my mom "I need you to welcome her back in even if your acting it."

That stings and I quickly go to the front and run out as hard as I can down the road.

I run all the way into the main part if town. I decide to grab a bite to eat because I'm starving. I go into the best diner in town that I remember.

I open the door. the smell of coffee and pancakes fill my nose. I slide in to one of the booths. a guy about my age comes to give me a menu.

"Thanks." I say taking the menu and looking at it.

"Oh my gosh. Hey, Anna." Says the guy

I look up at him. His messy dirty blonde hair falls into his warm brown eyes. he looks hot and looks very familiar.

"Uh do I know you?" I say raising an eyebrow

"Uh you probably don't remember my Luke Gunther." he says

"Luke Gunther?" I murmur trying to remember. than it hits me.

"oh my gosh hi." I say smiling.

Luke Gunther was my school girl crush for the longest time. I use to do pretend that I was going to be Anna Wilson. He was also Aaron and Darcy's best friend in elementary school.

" Hey how's it going?" He says smiling.

"Good what about you?" I say eagerly.

"Good just working." he says shrugging.

"Well since your working do you want to get me a mint tea and pancakes.please." I say handing him the menu, smiling

" Okay be right back." he says smiling walking away.

A warm and fuzzy feeling comes over me.

After I finish eating and I pay my bill and stand to leave.

" Anna." says someone and I turn

"So how long are you back for." says a nervous looking Luke

"Um a couple months." I say shrugging.

"Well you wanna hang out sometime. Like to catch up and stuff?" he says, scratching the back of his head awkwardly.

"Uh ya sure." I say blushing.

"Okay then see you around then." he says

"Kay see you." I say turning on my heel.

After I'm about a block away from the diner, a huge smile breaks into my face.

I start running fast with happiness pumping through me.

I just ran into my smoking hot childhood crush!
