By the time we got home and finish unloading the groceries it's time for rehearsals
I run up to my room and to grab my guitar and bag with my notes but when I open my door, sitting on my bed is Aaron is staring blankly at the TV.
"Um hey" I say waving my hand in front of his face.
"Are you and Luke a thing or something?" he says harshly glaring at me
"No" I reply shaking my head
"Well that's not what I've heard" He says stiffly
"So you better not be lying to me"
"I'm not" I say picking a pair of denim jeans, my Beatles band shirt, a thick grey cardigan, a gold statement necklace and a pair of grey uggs. I walk towards the bathroom to go get changed.
"Anna, you better be telling to truth" He says standing infront of the bathroom door so I can't get past
"Aaron, I know you guys don't really like Luke because of what happened and I can't say I'm proud to call him my friend, but he seems like a nice guy and I can't judge him for something he did when I wasn't around to see it" I say
"Plus it's none of your business if I like him or not."
"Yes It is." he says crossing his arms.
"You're my sister, my twin sister so anything that's your business is mine"
"Yea, yea whatever" I try to push him away but I guess the five years I have been gone he has been working out instead of being the somewhat chubby kid
"Anna I'm serious, don't get involved with him" he steps aside
"Okay thank you Helen" I roll my eyes
He gives me a weird look
"Helens my manager" I explain
"I actually need to call her or email her or something. Oh that reminds me there's no Wi-Fi in this house right?"
"We don't have Wi-Fi because mom thinks its distracting so we usually go to school for it" he says shrugging
"Well that sucks!" I frown
"I guess that's why I haven't been getting any emails or notifications on my media"
He rolls his eyes and walk out of my room
I quickly change, grabbing my black tote with my phone and notes in it.
I pick up my guitar and start walking out, but just as I do I spot my old jewellery box. I put down my stuff down for a minute and open it. I take out a small moonstone ring. It's really small and delicate. I don't remember where I got it, but it's pretty. I slip it on and pick up my stuff and continue to go to rehearsals
-*-
"Hey." I call out as I walk into the auditorium looking at my phone as the Wi-Fi password the front desk gave me loads in.
"Hey." I hear a chorus of people say
I look up in shock; there are about 50 people in the audience seats. Some of them have paper and pens ready for me to autograph. A few of them even had signs with "Anna I luv u" or "Anna your my idol" written on them. A not-bad looking guy even held up a sign that read "Anna Walters I <3 you! Will you marry me?"
"Um hi" I say spotting chase flirting with one of the girls in the audience "Chase can I have a word?"
"No sorry, I'm busy." He says continuing to flirt.
I put my stuff on the stage and turn and grab chase roughly by to collar. I hear a few girls gasp and pull out their phones. What are these people thinking? It looks like they expect me to beat the crap out of him
"Chase Anderson, when I say I need a word, then that means I need to talk right now." I say roughly bringing his face close to mine
"Clear?"
"I'm clear but this position is making my world a bit fogy" he said in a low tone, smirking
I let go of his collar and grab his arm, pulling him to the back of the stage.
"Chase what the hell are these people doing here?" I say angrily.
"Just a part of your little fan-club." he says smirking
"This isn't a joke." I say "I can't have any of the press knowing where I am. If you haven't noticed already, I'm trying to lay low for a while."
"Well it's a little too late for that." he says shrugging.
"Chase you're an idiot and jerk." I say slapping him across the face "I don't know why I was ever friends with you."
He looked hurt for a moment and for that moment I feel sorry for him until Blake waltzing in
"Um guys?" he says scratching his head awkwardly
"Not to break your little discussion, but some of the people out there want their picture taken with Anna like they were promised."
I turn to look at Chase and give him my worst death glare that I usually give the paparazzi when they follow me
"Get them out now or else I will not do your stupid little show." I say in a stiff, harsh tone, trying to stay calm.
"Fine whatever" He says angrily and storming off
What? Why is he angry? He's not the one who's been tossed in front of people ----while might I say on their vacation that's long overdue---- to pose for pictures and sign useless pieces of paper.
I mean the most money you could probably get for my autograph on ebay is like 80-100 dollars. People instead of asking me for autographs should just buy them off ebay if they want it so bad. And for the pictures, there is such thing as Photoshop! I mean come on, my time is valuable.
I pick up my stuff and quickly walk out the back door of the auditorium. A freezing cold wind strikes me as I open the door but I don't care. I start to walk home but realize that I'm lost
I sigh and realize I have pretty much only one choice...
I pull out my phone and call Darcy.
-*-
"Hey Darcy, thanks for picking me up" I say pulling myself into his truck.
"Yea sure whatever," he grumbles
"I needed to pick up some stuff for mom at the store anyways."
We rode in silence to the store. I stare out my window and lean my head against it, I feel something wet run down my face. I bring my hand up to my face, it's a tear. I feel another and another.
Why am I crying? I close my eyes to stop the tears. I feel a weight on my shoulders, my body feels so heavy, and I feel my mind leaving its everyday thoughts, and the only thing my body can think of doing is...
Sigh
