Earlier that day

Anna

"Come down for breakfast honey." My mother's words echoed in my ears.

I opened my sleepy eyes as I shifted to the right to look at the clock

7:00 am

I groaned and got out of bed. Well I sort of fell off I crawled to my closet and changed into some decent clothes. After that I headed to the bathroom washed my teeth and face and headed down stairs to the dinning room.

"Hey you're awake." My dad grinned at me with a big smile that made his mustache lift a little.

Mom had made pancakes and they were delicious. I helped her serve. One for me, mom, and dad. Things weren't like this before instead of being a family of three we were a family of four.

The fourth member was my oldest sister Elsa. She hasn't been with us for 11 years now.
She was kidnapped or at least that was what he told us.

I glance across the table to where Elsa used to sit when we were all together.

*slowly fades into a memory*

It had been a couple weeks.

A lot of the citizens from Aren had been sick with the plague that was spreading in the small town that was placed on the outside of the big city of Arendelle.

That involved me and my parents. My oldest sister, Elsa hadn't gotten the sickness yet.

We weren't in a high or middle class rank back then. The cure was rare and only the ones that were able to afford it would be able to buy it.

We saw what happened to some of our neighbors. The sickness was so bad that once it got to its highest point it would paralyze people and starve them to death no matter how much they ate. They would starve until they became only skin and bones. Slowly their hearts would decrease their normal size causing them to fail and stop.

That was our destiny. At least that's what we thought. Elsa worked for other people to gain money to keep up with the house rent and to have food.

My parents forbid her from working she was only 9 and they didn't want her to work for random strangers. She was stubborn and snuck out at night. My parents didn't know this but I did.

"Promise you won't tell them?" She asked while placing her hands on my shoulders.

I nodded my head "I promise Elsie."

"Good." She smiled and gave me a hug.
"Go to sleep now." She whispered while heading out the window.

I don't know what happened afterwards. I fell asleep in our bunk bed.

I was awakened to a loud knock on our door. I ran out of my room and stopped at the end of the hallway. I saw my parents already standing in the door way talking to someone.

"I'm sorry." A raspy voice wisphered.
"She couldn't make it but she was able to pay for the cure." The man spoke.

Cure? I approached and saw a tall man in a dark cloak and black hair. It was raining outside and he held an object in his hands.

"Couldn't make it? Who?" My father asked with concern in his voice I could tell he was keeping his voice steady.
