CHAPTER 4:

3rd Person POV

20 minutes earlier...

And with that, Romeo walked off with Ryuu and Wendy walked off with Kaito. Romeo and Ryuu maneuvered their way around the bunches of mages to find a quiet spot to discuss their plan.

"I am a really good fire Mage," Ryuu boasted, "You better not drag me down." Ryuu crossed his arms.

"Well," Romeo huffed, "I was trained by the strongest Fire Dragon Slayer in Magnolia! YOU," he emphasized, "better not drag ME down." Ryuu and Romeo bickered the entire 20 minutes.

20 minutes later...

A voice spoke up over the room. "Your matches have been pinned up on the board over there." Hisashi pointed to the other side of the room.

"Race you there." Ryuu challenged. And so, the two boys sprinted to the board.

"I win." Romeo claimed.

"No I did." Ryuu shot back.

"No, I got here first!" Romeo shouted.

"No, I got he—" Ryuu was cut off.

"Quit arguing." A pale blue haired girl said. "You're both acting like children."

"Yeah!" A girl with hazel hair piped up behind her. "We're up against you two!"

With that, Ryuu had stopped his argument with Romeo.

*cue in background of roses and sparkles*

"Why aren't you cute." Ryuu kissed the blue haired girl's hand. "What's your name?" Ryuu gave her a flirty grin. The girl had a very annoyed face on her.

"HENTAI!" She screamed. Ryuu was sent flying across the room after she had kicked him.

*cue out roses and sparkles*

A sweat dropped from Romeo.

"Okay then," Romeo stated, "Let's just get this started."

To the battlefield...

Each team positioned themselves opposite of each other.

"My name is Miyuki Shiro. I am an Ice Mage." The blue haired girl spoke up.

"And my name is Minami Yukimura. I, too, am an Ice Mage." The hazel haired girl added.

"Ugh," Ryuu grunted, "Enough of the introductions, let's get this battle started." Each team nodded in agreement to start.

Head on, Ryuu shot of rays of fire. The other team managed to make them disappear in no time. Then, Romeo had sent blades of various fires over the battlefield. Instead of melting their ice shields, it quickly reflected the attack back to Ryuu and Romeo. The fire mages fell back from the impact.

A blue light arose from the Ice Mages' side of the battle field.

"FROST ERUPTION!" They shouted in unison. Various layers of frost and ice hit the fire mages. In no time, they were sent flying back in defeat.

"We won!" The girls cheered.

Romeo's POV

I was sent flying back from the attack, landing flat on my back. I got up feeling the ache of the fall.

"Great job," Ryuu shouted at me, "We lost! Never teaming up with you again." With that, Ryuu stormed off.

"Don't worry! I don't want to team up with you anyways!" I shouted at him as he walked away. I was left there feeling frustrated.

I hopefully searched around for Wendy, wanting to watch her battle, but the sight made my blood boil. I searched to find Wendy hugging Kaito. I sighed.

3rd Person POV

"Today's battles were brilliant!" Hisashi praised. "First off, I must applaud Wendy and Kaito for achieving unison raid." The entire class clapped and cheered for them. Romeo rolled his eyes. "Second, this practice was to help you work on your teamwork. As you mages get older, you will have to work with several of other magic users. Let me get this clear in your head, no matter who it may be, never," Hisashi emphasized, "let your Nakamas down. You are a team to protect and fight as one." The class nodded back in response. "Okay with that said, enjoy your break! I'll give you an hour to rest up!"
