Part 8: Pitch Black🖤

Quinn's POV

After Klai and i left the boys we headed to the pool where we met up with the rest of our family. Tonight the Parents had reservations to a really fancy restaurant without the kids, so we decided to go to the buffet again.

As I go to my room to get ready for dinner I get another snap from Zach:

I tell him our plans to eat at the buffet again and he asks if the boys could join us. I allow them to come because today was really fun and I want to be friends with them. We make plans to meet in front of the buffet at 7. I look at the time and see its 6, I have one hour to get ready. I hop in the shower and wash my hair and body. When I get out I put on a cute tank top and white jeans. I then dry my hair and curl it. I don't put on any makeup because the buffet isn't  too fancy so I leave my face bare.

I walk down to the buffet and meet mine and Klai's siblings. I tell them that my friends will be joining us and they ask if they could sit somewhere else. Honestly thought that would be the best thing so I allow them. Klai and I stand at the entrance waiting for them.

Zach's POV

I told Quinn that we'd meet her at 7 but its 6:55 and I have no idea what to wear. The boys are angry, but I want to look extra good tonight. This is because tonight I'm going to take Quinn on a walk and tell her I like her. This way I can do it before Daniel so she picks me over him. I finally find the perfect outfit and head out the door where I see 4 angry boys waiting for me. "What took you so long bro?" Corbyn aks. "I couldn't find anything to wear.." I say back. Daniel opens his mouth to say something but I cut him off "C'mon guys its 7:10 we are late and Quinn is waiting." We all leave.

We arrive at the buffet and I see Quinn at the entrance. She looks so beautiful. I walk up to her and give her a hug. She hugs me back and goes to hug the other boys. I watch each hug and when she finally gets to Daniel I notice that its longer then the others. I'm mad and walk inside to find our table. The buffet allows you to seat yourself so I find this big circle that fits 9 people and there are seven of so its perfect. I sit down and the rest of the group follows. I was hoping Quinn and I could sit next to each other but Corbyn and Jack beat her to it. Fortunately we are across from each other, unfortunately she's sat next to Daniel and their sitting so close together. after we order our drinks we all get up to serve ourselves. I head to the pasta bar because its really good. I'm too upset to notice that Quinn is standing behind me until she pokes me. I turn around and she asks "Is everything ok?" I look at her. I wanna tell her how I feel right now in the spot where we kinda first met but instead I say "when dinner's over can we go for a walk... alone?" She nods and we grab our pastas and head back to the table. While eating I keep looking at Daniel and Quinn. They're having so much fun together, whispering and laughing. I can't stand watching this. I wish that was me with Quinn right now, but I think that soon enough it will after I tell her I like her.

I finish up my pasta and look at Quinn again. We make eye contact and I motion my head to the door. She excuses herself to go to bathroom and gets up. I grab my plate and tell the group I'm going back for seconds. As I get enough distance from them I head outside where Quinn is waiting at the door. We are walk towards the beach in silence. When we get there I stop her and turn her towards me. It's pitch black so I can barely see a thing, but it's making me calmer. "Why'd you bring me out here Zach?" she asks. I just stare at her through the darkness and say" I really like you Quinn. Since the day I hit you with the ball." before she can say anything I kiss her. She kisses me back but then eventually pulls away. "What's wrong?" I say. She grabs my hand and says " I don't know what I feel right now..." She let's go of my hand and heads back to the restaurant.

Quinn's POV

"I really like you Quinn. Since the day I hit you with the ball." He says and before I can voice my opinion he kisses me. At first I'm not sure if I want it but his kiss is so sweet that I kiss back. I realize that what I'm doing is wrong and pull away. "What's wrong?" he asks. It takes all my will power to tell him that I don't know what I want. Which is partially true. I know I like Zach but I'm starting to have some feelings for Daniel. I walk away before things get awkward and too give Zach some space. I get back to the buffet and sit back down beside Daniel. He continues to tell me a story he was telling me before. When he finishes I look to see Zach back but his heads down. I feel so bad about what I did and wouldn't blame Zach if he never wanted to hangout with me again.

It gets late so we part our ways and say goodnight.
