*Hello! It is I! i don't think i actually have anything other to say than i hope you like this (and this is how my author's notes are set up)... so, yeah*

I wake up, my black duvet crumpled at the bottom of my bed. Through heavy, morning eyes i stare though my window which yields the mundane image of a cloudy, grey sky. Though the curtains cover most of said window, i notice small droplets that i pair with the ever so comforting pitter-patter sound the rain is producing. I swing my legs over the side of my bed and get up, stopping for a second to let my head stop spinning.

Let's see, today is a Saturday so there is no compulsory work that has to be done though i am supposed to go into work. The main building is where I would normally spend about 9 hours working on my art pieces; they call this building 'The Society of Modern Art', 'SMA' if one likes abbreviations. The attached building is used for people who we're training or thinking of employing; 'Recruitment Training' or, for you pesky people who like abreviations, 'RT'. It's used to 'assess skill' and have people temporarily working until they're deemed fit to work in the main studios. Most of the time that building is rented out to dancers though, because we don't often have vacant job spaces. In short, they thought it would be great to name their company 'SMART', which, ironically, i find most idiotic.

Recently my boss, manager and CEO of the company allowed me to start working from home due to the quality of work that I have been producing. I now have a set up in the corner of my room: my easel; a large pile of blank canvases; and a large pile of dry, finished pieces; which lie next to my paints and other media.

i stand pondering over whether i should begin painting again, but due to my lack of motivation, i don't imediately jump at the idea. Instead, as if someone knew my dilema, my phone buzzes, so I check to see the notification:

Anna: hey, I'm free today, wanna hang?

Me: Sure, what do you want to do though?

Anna: meet me at the movies at 9pm, I'll get the tickets, you get the popcorn.

Me: Alright! What are we going to watch?

... 10 MINUTES LATER ...

She still hasn't replied, rude! I guess I could go grocery shopping today then, I do need food since lunch isn't that far away. I look at the large clock which hangs on the wall opposite my bed.

10:26

Wow, I must have had a great sleep! Oh wait, no I didn't... I was painting up until 5am. I look over to my easel, a large painting of a girl immersed in butterflies is painted on it. I hate it. Why is it that I always have strong feelings against what I produce? *actually me tho guys ;-;*

I let out a slight sigh then go wash and get changed into black shorts that I paired with a white jumper that says 'leave me alone' in black writing, accurately describing my personality and that fact that I hate it when people come near me.

I slip on my soft black boots and head to the car. My pockets jingle because they're stuffed with: my phone, wallet and keys. When getting into the car, I turn on the engine and the radio automatically starts up:

Radio: "next we have the one and only BTS, a K-pop band that-"

The broadcaster gets cut off by me inserting a CD of (FB / favorite band *other than BTS - apparently y'all having a problem with that*) into the car. I start to drive. When I eventually get to the store, after singing along to about 3 songs, I take my sunglasses out of the glove compartment and put them on. Locking my eyes on a trolley, I walk over to get the smaller sized one. I then enter the store, OH GOD!

... 25 MINUTES INTO SHOPPING ...

I turn my trolley up the last aisle of the shop and am greeted by a load of frozen meats and vegetables. I push the trolley down to the end of the aisle, knowing that the Quorn *(meat substitute) because I'm not going to force any of you to eat any of the fictional animals in this story* is at the end.

In my peripheral vision I see that a tall man with brown hair has his eyes locked on me as I'm walking down the aisle. His eyes are still on me when I get to the end and I turn my head to see him in front of the seafood section holding a pack of prawns. His mouth is slightly curved into a kind smile. Maybe he can't read my t-shirt...

"I'm sorry, is there something you need?" I ask, puzzled as to what he thinks is the normal amount of time that a person can stare at someone and not make things creepy.

???: "oh uh, no it's just... you look very interesting"

Me: "Thanks..." I say in a sarcastic tone. Wow, never met someone who was that blunt about my appearance.

???: "NO! I didn't mean it in a bad way I just meant that you look like a person I would enjoy talking to, that's all."

I look at him for a second or to,

Me: "oh, okay then."

He places what is in his hand, in his large trolley and walks over next to me. Why won't he leave me alone!!!

???: "I'm Jin by the way."

Me: "well, Jin, I'm (Y/N). Please don't make me regret telling you that." I say with a smile (slightly fake).

Jin: "I won't!" There is a slight pause in the conversation before he says something else, "Hey, Is this stuff even good?" He picks up a packet of Quorn mince and reads the back to see the ingredients.

*I swear this isn't a promotion 😛*

Me: "Yeah, I eat it a lot."

Jin: "Hmm, I guess I'll give it a try." He says, while putting two packs into the trolley.

Me: "why do you need two?" I ask, still confused with this whole situation.

Jin: "I cook for myself and the 6 other guys I live with."

Me: "That's gotta be rough!" I exclaimed in a shocked tone. Jin smiles.

Jin: "Sometimes they're a bit much but nothing I can't manage!"

Me: "Well, it's been fun speaking to you Jin, but I have to go now." I tell him, looking at my phone to see that it's 11:43

Jin: "Oh, can I get your number then? you know, in case I need to ask about the..." He looks over at the trolley,"...Quorn."

I give him my phone and he gets his out. After a minute of him typing in both of them, he hands mine back and on the screen, is a new contact titled: 'Princess Jin'. I look up at him, smile and then proceed to pay for my shopping. When I get to my car, I load everything in the boot and then place the trolley back.

Driving back home, I put the CD on again and sing my heart out.
