Movie

I set back to look at the finished painting, eww. I should have listened to myself when I said I wasn't going to paint today. Oh well, what's done is done. Placing my cup of water and tray of paints on a small side table, I sigh. My hands are covered in paint and my shorts seem to have assumed a stroke of blue.

I go to the bathroom and remove the paint from my hands, changing into black jeans after so that my legs won't get cold at the cinema. I look at the time...

8:42. Okay, if I leave now, I will have just enough time to get the popcorn and sit down. I check to make sure that my essentials are still in my jumper pockets and then I get into my car and drive to the movies.

I get to the large building within 7 minutes of driving and then briskly walk inside to see Anna sitting on one of the metal benches with two tickets in her hand.

Anna: "There you are!" They say, walking over to me (as I am now in the line for food).

We stand and wait for a few people to order then I get the popcorn and we enter one of the rooms for the movie. Anna looks at the ticket and the row letters trying and find a match.

Anna: "I found it!" They yell in a hushed voice.

I follow her until she sits down on the seat closer to the aisle, making me sit nearer to the people a few seats next to us. It's dark so I can't see their faces but I can make out that there are 7 of them. I sit down and place her popcorn in her lap and the adverts start to show. Ten seconds go by and I hear whispers from the guys next to me.

That lasts for about a minute until my phone buzzes and I see that I have a message from jin:

Princess Jin: Hey

I fumble about with my keyboard and reply to his message.

Me: Hey, sorry I can't talk rn, I'm in the cinema.

Seconds after I send the message, the guys next to me all start to cheer slightly louder than when they were whispering. I start to get slightly annoyed so I turn my head towards them, only to see that one of them had got up and was making their way over to me.

???: "(YN)! It's me, Jin!)

I smile; that makes a lot of sense.

Me: "Such an honor to see you here, your highness." I say, referencing how he titled himself in my contacts. 

Jin laughs and I swear down, I heard windscreen wipers. Then the 6 boys started giggling. Which was cut short by jin turning around and, though it was dark, they must have all seen how pissed he was at their mockery.

Me: "ohh, you're like the mom of your friendship group aren't you?" I say, nervously smiling at how much power he had over the boys.

Jin: "Pretty much, yeah..." He waits for a second, a puzzled look on his face. Just as I was about to ask what was up, he started to speak, "ah, now I remember what I wanted to ask! Would you maybe like to hang out with me one day, to show me how to make that food stuff you like?" His face is plastered with a childish smile, almost begging me to say yes.

I turn round to Anna - not wanting to exclude her from the conversation - only to see that she wasn't there. where'd she go? she's taken her bags but left her food... she would never leave food. i pick up an object on the floor; rectangular, a book. i quint to see the front cover; '(favorite book)'. Hey, i saw a movie poster for- oh... she's done it again. whenever Anna hears about a book being turned into a movie, she goes to pick out the problems with the plot. But why has she left her book here? Gah- 

Jin: "So..."

Me: "Okay, text me about the details."

Jin: "Cool!" he smiles.

just as he is about to turn back, i notion to my wanting to say something else.

Me: "Uh, did you, by any chance, happen to see where Anna went?"

Jin: "Your friend?"

Me: "Yes, that's the one."

Jin: "Her phone buzzed and so she left."

Me: "Oh, thanks. i guess she won't be needing this food then..." i pick it up and offer it to him. "Would your friends like it?" I ask and then the movie startes.

 Jin didn't go back to his seat; instead, he sat next to me for the rest of the movie and a tall guy from the other 6 came to sit next to Jin. Every so often I would see him staring at me but I never brought it to light.
