What a wonderful world

Kneading the black floor with my feet, I make my way over to the front of the stage. Wow! Everything looks so huge from here. It's quite overwhelming to think that in a few hours this pace will be filled with people. At the moment, it's calm, there is no sound nothing. I sit down, my legs dangling off the stage. Something inside of me is dying to use this opportunity to sing.

*Hopefully all of you know 'what a wonderful world' by Louis Armstrong, if not, you should probably listen to it*

I start to sway, the music of 'what a wonderful world' playing in my head.

Me: "I see trees of green," I start, singing in a higher pitch to the original so I can make the words flow.

Me: "Red roses too.

I see them bloom, for me and you.

And I think to myself, What a wonderful world."

For a moment I think I hear footsteps but shrug it off as I'm having fun singing.

Me: "I see skies of blue, clouds of white.

The bright blessed day, the dark sacred night.

And I think to myself," during the pause in the sentence I can clearly see Taehyung walking up to where I'm sat on the stage.

Me & V: "What a wonderful world." I smile, his voice matches the low tones perfectly and pair with my voice to make the lyrics sound better.

Me: "The colors of the rainbow," I start, V doesn't sing this part with me. Instead, I let him sing the next part.

V: "So pretty in the sky," then it's my turn again.

Me: "Are also on the faces,"

V: "Of people going by."

The next part we sing together and I smile at how easily we can harmonize.

Me & V: "I see friends shaking hands," At the second part of the line he imitates tipping a hat towards me and my smile increases.

Me & V: "Saying how do you do."

Me & V: "They're really saying, I love you."

At that, we stop singing and laugh together.

Taehyung: "You never told me you could sing."

Me: "I guess I've never really given much attention to that skill, I'm better at other things."

Taehyung: "B-but you could make it with your singing," he widens his eyes, an idea taking wing in his mind "I have to tell Audrey!"

With that, he gets up and starts running towards the door.

Me: "NO! V, COME BACK HERE YOU LITTLE ALIEN!"

Too late, he's already out of the door and I can't go after him because I'm waiting for rap monster. Speaking of the devil, a few seconds after Taehyung exits, Namjoon enters the room.

Me: "Hi!" I say, trying to get his attention.

He stops, looking me directly in the eyes, he blushes.

Namjoon: "I'll come back later." He says starting to turn away.

Me: "NOPE! Come here." I demand, he turns to look back at me, puzzled. "Quickly!" I add, making him walk over to me. I stand up.

Me: "Jimin and J-hope have requested that I help you with your-" I pause as J-Hope did when speaking to me. "Dancing." Namjoon groans and pouts, I look at him sternly, sending him a message that he can't back out.

Namjoon: "Fine." He says, giving in.

Getting his phone out of his pocket, he starts playing 'butterfly' (I listened to a few of their songs while in the cab so I knew which one it was) and then places his phone down at the front.

*Yes, me again, hi. I'm here to bestow upon you the knowledge that I am not following their dance routine, just making up simple motions for the purpose of this story*

Rapmonster (who is currently crouched), starts to slowly bring himself up to a stand, his whole body moves in exactly the same position, like a robot.

Me: "STOP!" I say, realizing how much I liked being the one to correct people. Having spent almost a decade listening to criticism I was able to assess what was wrong with the way he moved.

Namjoon: "I only just started!" He says, annoyed.

I walk to the music and restart it, quickly going into the crouch position. When the first note plays, I too bring myself to a standing position but I make it flow, raising my head up last, gracefully. Namjoon looks at me while doing this, accessing what he was doing wrong. I lean back down to the music and turn it off.

Me: "Now you." I say, looking in his direction.

He goes back into the crouched position and without the music, he does exactly what he did the last time.

Me: "You're not making it flow, go back into your start position." He does as I say and I walk over. Placing my hand on his lower back, I speak.

Me: "Lift first with your lower back," as I carry on, my hand trails to the body part I'm talking about "then your upper back, through your shoulders, neck and finally bring your head up, pointing your chin in the direction of the audience." I place my hand back to my side and then look to his face, he's looking at the empty area in front of him.

Me: "Got it?" I ask, wondering if he paid attention.

Namjoon: "Yeah." He says, I walk over to the music but don't play it.

Me: "Okay then, show me." I say, when he starts to lift I call out the body parts that he needs to focus on. "BACK! SHOULDERS! NECK! HEAD! CHIN!"

I smile, he's done it.

Me: "Well done! This time I want you to do it to the music." I lean down and press play. The first note plays and as he gets up I can see a huge difference."

Me: "Much better!" I pause for a second, "Right, onto the next move."

He gives a sigh and then drops his head.
