Annabeth's POV

Finding out that my ex boyfriend was with the maiden goddess of the Hunt for half a decade surprised me. Not because of what he did, but because of what Artemis did.

Ohhhhh, I thought excitedly. She's gonna be in so much trouble at the next Olympian meeting!

Walking outside, I took off my cap of invisibility and ran over to the camp border.

Hailing a taxi, I drove over to the heart of New York City. From there, I walked towards the ever-so-tall Empire State Building. Once I arrived, I walked in through the front door, earning myself nothing more than a short glance from the mortals.

Continuing my journey, I leaned over the front counter and said, "Key to the 600th floor please." Glancing up at me, he straightened his newspaper and said, "There ain't no 600th floor kid. Beat it." Before I could lose my schist, I said, "How the cuck do you forget the face of Olympus' architect in a decade?"

Paling, he finally handed me the key card. Grinning, I said thanks and walked over to an elevator, careful to pick one that was empty besides me. I slid the key card into the secret compartment, then heard a small ding as a red button for the 600th floor appeared.

Pushing it, I felt the elevator jerk up, something I still hadn't gotten used to. After a minute or two, the elevator fixed itself and began going up smoothly.

Why Percy? I asked, zoning out as usual. Artemis hates males, so going to Percy for...whatever she want to Percy for, wasn't her first choice. What does she need that-

My thoughts were interrupted after hearing an extra loud ding from the elevator. Shaking my head, I walked out of the elevator and into Olympus.

Or, the version I made.

Seeing the entirety of my accomplishment made me feel better about myself, if only for a moment. Then I remembered why it looked like this.

The Second Titan War.

The war that took Silena and Beckendorf.

The war that took Michael Yew.

The war that took my brother, Luke Castellan.

These thoughts saddened me. But then I remembered the end of that war.

The happiness from seeing my siblings alive.

The excitement from making a cake with Tyson.

The ecstasy from kissing Percy for the first of many times.

And I threw it all away. For some mortal that left me alone and broken.

The same way I left Percy broken.

Gathering my thoughts again, I walked up to the council room. I thrust open the doors, not caring if I was interrupting something, which was very reckless on my part.

Luckily for me, the gods and goddess of Olympus were in the middle of an argument. I wasn't really noticed until I walked square into the center of the room, the heart crackling loudly in front of me.

Soon, the gods fell silent, leaving nothing to be heard except the crackle of the hearth. After a moment or two of said silence, the King of Olympus addressed me. "What have you come to the Council for, Athenian?" he thundered, making direct eye contact with me.

"My liege," I began, making sure not to make direct eye contact. "I have discovered that your daughter Artemis has been having an affair with my ex boyfriend Percy Jackson." At this, he narrowed his eyes, making direct eye contact.
