Chiron's POV

I was weary, which wasn't much news. But what surprised me about it was how absolute it seemed, as if I was already dead. Already drifting in Tartarus, trying my hardest to make enough energy for me to reform.

Nevertheless, I wasn't as surprised as I should have been when Percy barged into the Big House asking for some time back in college. I understood that he knew something big was coming, and I shared his concern for the other demigods and Hunters.

What I didn't understand, however, was why in the name of Tartarus he dragged Lady Artemis along with him. By her hand. I would've expected an increase in the jackalope population by now, but said reaction did not occur.

And what confused me the most was that Artemis seemed....happy.

Lovestruck, even.

Either way, I granted Percy his request, also making sure the campers were going to get tons of training. I swear to the gods Jackson, I thought worriedly, you better know what you're doing.

Artemis' POV

Being dragged to the Big House with Percy wasn't as bad as it sounded. Especially when he held my hand the entire time.

Grinning like a crazy person, I stood there and listened to Percy explain why he wanted to go back to college. Without mentioning Tartarus, that is. After about ten minutes, however, Chiron cut him off and let him go, saying his story telling skills were "unbelievably terrible."

I could have teleported us there, but Percy insisted on being normal for once and taking the bus. One long, smelly bus ride later, we were both looking at the main doors, huge smiles plastered on our faces.

Then, we walked into class.

One excruciatingly long and boring day later, me and Percy were lounging around in our dorm, wondering how his life was so damn unfortunate. Then, he scolded himself and told me he needed to update his mom, to which I said "Go ahead. Your girlfriend is very patient."

Rocking his signature smirk, he planted a kiss on my cheek, then walked outside into the hall to make his call. I simply sat on the couch, grinning from ear to ear as I held my cheek where he kissed me. Here I am, a maiden goddess of the moon and The Hunt, knowing full well Camp Half-Blood could be destroyed at any time,

And I'm sitting on a couch smiling my face off. On my boyfriend's couch, nontheless. Okay, so technically speaking, he hasn't asked me out yet, but we both love each other and have admitted said love to one another.

So that technically counts.

Wait, I thought, realization creeping in, what happens when Zeus finds out? Will he be mad? What about my vows? What if-"What do you want for dinner?" Percy asked, his voice pulling me from my thoughts.

I smiled weakly. "I'm not feeling very hungry right now" I said, trying to ignore my growling stomach. As if on cue, it let out the biggest growl I've ever heard, giving me a deep red blush as Percy raised his eyebrow.

"Not hungry my ass" he muttered, patting his own stomach. "C'mon, what do you want to eat?" After a moment or two, I decided on something we both liked. "A blue pizza!" I shouted, jumping up in triumph like I was a child. While I found this to be excessive later, Percy doubled over in laughter.

"O-okay," he answered, rubbing tears from his eyes. "Blue pizza it is. But," he questioned, raising an eyebrow. "you realize that's handmade at home, right? That's not something sold by pizzerias."

Tilting my head slightly, I stared at him confused and asked "What's a pizzeria?" Sighing, he pinched the bridge of his nose and said "The place that delivers the pizza is called a pizzeria."

Gasping in realization, I sat back down, deep in thought. Feeling a set of eyes on me, I waited until it was uncomfortable to face Percy and ask "What," trying my hardest to sound menacing.

"I figured that might have been something you concluded awhile ago" he responded cheekily, letting out a little chuckle afterwards. I blushed and muttered "Athena is the smart one."

Outright laughing at that, Percy gently cupped my cheeks and said "She may be the smartest, but A, you're the prettiest, B, you're not far behind. And C," he added, wiggling his eyebrows "when did being a Seaweed Brain ever stop me?"

Soon, we were both laughing, rolling around on the floor, only for someone a floor below us to come up and complain. After we apologized, we laughed some more then just sat on the couch in comfortable silence.

Suddenly, I heard the TV buzz to life. Pure instincts took over, so I pulled back my bow and accidentally shot at the TV. It made contact, and it spewed sparks like a leak in a dam. I guess I thought to myself you could say-

"Well that's a dam shame" Percy muttered, interrupting my thoughts. Staring at him, I said "What?" "It's an inside joke from a few years ago." he responded, coughing in laughter. Confused, I asked "From what?"

That seemed to calm him down immediately, replaced with sadness and even a little sorrow. "It's from when, uh, when two Hunters, two campers, and I went on a quest to rescue a goddess."

Confused by the sudden mood change, I put my hand on his shoulder and squeezed a little. "Who" I asked, growing confused. "I don't remember anything like-oh. That quest" I responded, growing guilty for not remembering.

"Yeah," he said, rubbing the back of his neck and letting out a nervous chuckle "that quest. Listen, I'm sorry that-" cutting him off, I gave him a kiss on the cheek. "Don't blame yourself. For Bianca or Zoë. I'm sure they've forgiven you anyways."

"Do they really" Percy questioned, grief in his voice. "I know Bianca moved on, but Zoë looks like she hates me all over again." Before Percy continued, I gave him a peck on the lips. Taking advantage of the silence, I hugged him tightly, nuzzling into the crook of his neck.

"She just needs to readjust to men" I said, yawning a little. "She's been away from everything, you included, for so long." Putting his chin on the top of my head, he nodded slightly. "I'm just worried she'll go back to hating me."

"Percy, look at me" I said, my voice harder than wurtzite boron nitride. (world's hardest material sorry) Reluctantly, he turned to face me. "Listen," I said, softening my tone "it's not like she, or anyone, will break you or our relationship. We'll be okay."

Smiling, he said "Thanks Arty. I needed that little pep talk. Kissing his cheek, I gave him a soft smile and put my head on his chest. "I'm going to bed" I mumbled into his chest. Kissing my forehead, he said "Goodnight. Sweet dreams Arty." Before I drifted into Morpheus' realm I heard him say "I love you. So, so much."

I slept with a smile on my face.

When I woke up, however, it was a completely different story.

Hi!

By the gods, I've finally had time to finish this! I'm sorry it isn't very long or it seems rushed, but next chapter will be better, I swear on the River Styx *thunder clap*
