Artemis' POV

As I sat in the surf, I replayed what just happened. I made fun of Percy. He git mad and kissed me. Percy walked into the ocean, probably to stay.

Suddenly, there was a huge splash of water from where Percy walked into the ocean. Said son of Poseidon stumbled out, his face pale and his breathing ragged.

Shakily, he lifted his right index finger in a 'wait a moment' gesture. Giving me his famous crooked grin, he stumbled forward towards me and proceeded to fall facefirst into the surf.

Taking a moment to let these events set in, I did the first thing anyone would do.

I screamed.

It was girly, no doubt, and I hated myself for it, but I couldn't help it. Nothing, and I mean nothing can scare me quite like Percy did in that moment.

One ear-piercing shriek later, I went over to where Percy collapsed, hesitant to even touch him. When I was finally brave enough, I tapped his left shoulder blade, hoping there was no permanent damage anywhere from whatever happened.

Shuddering, he picked his head up and mouthed 'Im okay' before falling on his face again. This time, however, he didn't start breathing afterwards.

Panicking, I tried giving him CPR. Prolonging the attempt, I was forced to try Mouth to Mouth Resuscitation, which didn't work either. Finally, I just went into camp and called for an Apollo healer, which so happened to be that nice Solace fellow from the Second Giant War.

Looking more depressed than anything, I led him to where Percy was. When we got there, I saw that Athenian ex girlfriend of his kneeling over him, whispering stuff to him. His body started convulsing, so I decided to take action.

I shot her with my bow.

When it made contact, however, nothing happened. She didn't cry out or double over in pain. Didn't even flinch. She simply shrugged it off like it was nothing.

More confused than concerned, I drew another arrow back, expecting the same consequence. Before I could release, Solace put a hand on my drawn arrow, lowering it. Grudgingly, I put it down after glaring at him menacingly.

Seemingly ignoring me, he tried walking over to Annabeth, almost as if in a daze. However, I put my arm up, halting him. Giving me a questioning glance, I gestured back over to her.

She was staring at him, eyes glossy. She gestured for him to join her, and his eyes glossed over as he tried, again, to reach her. Realizing what was happening to the young boy, I tried restraining him against a rock or tree, which proved to be useless.

Left with few other options, I knocked him out, hopefully not for long. Don't be too upset Nico I muttered, mostly to myself.

Unfortunately, I got the exact opposite result.

Aphrodite must've told him or something, because almost immediately after I turned my back to Will, he shadow travelled in front of me. Looking panicked, he looked around quickly, seemingly to find someone or something.

Spotting Annabeth, his eyebrows scrunched together and he gripped the hilt of his sword. However, he turned away from her and pushed passed me, only to see Will unconscious behind me. Literally glowing, I saw Nico's face go red with anger. My reaction was only logical:

"Oh Hades."

Unfortunately, I forgot all about what Nico informed the council about him. Instead of Nico ignoring the comment like he usually would, he locked eyes with me, his eyes entirely black.

I gave him a warning glance and said Do not test me boy. I am a goddess, and I will not hesitate to defend myself. If you want to hurt anyone, hurt Annabeth. She's the reason Percy's hurt and Solace is unconscious.

Narrowing his eyes, I was surprised and scared when I got a response: I will not forget this, moon goddess. Tread carefully. Turning back to Annabeth, he fully unsheathed his weapon and advanced, eyes black and glossy. She turned to him, feeling a presence walk up to her, and paled considerably.

In her last moments, the Athenian spawn muttered, "Awww crap!" and attempted to run away. When that proved to fail, she turned to him and drew her drakon bone sword.

Immediately, her blade was shattered against Stygian iron as the boy swung with all his might. Lunging at her, he managed to slice her Achilles heels and hamstrings, leaving her immobile. Then, he let her crawl away a little, only for him to loop off her head in one strong and swift strike.

While that moment of merciless murder was setting in, Nico walked over. "-him up. Artemis!" Jolting my shoulder, he jerked me from my thoughts and into the real world. Spitting out a "What," he rolled his eyes and repeated himself.

"Wake up Will, Artemis. Make sure my boyfriend saves Percy, then apologize to him before he leaves." Muttering a "yes sir," Nico smiled gruesomely and patted my shoulder. "I understand you hate men, but not everyone is the same. Judging by how urgently you're trying to save Percy," he added with a wink, "you know this already."

Earning himself a glare, he paled and shadow travelled away, to my amusement. Turning back around, my smile faltered and faded altogether when I saw Percy paler than before. Turning to Solace, I shook his shoulder, which was met with a groan.

"Wake up, boy" I said, feeling awkward and dumb. "I need your help. Please, wake up." Groaning again, he lifted his head slightly and muttered, "10 more minutes mom."

Smirking, I told him, "I could call your father. My brother is very good at being flashy. Maybe he could-" Cutting me off with his hands, he flailed around a little before saying "I'm up! I'm up. Jeez Artemis, you're a mean aunt." Laughing, I picked him up.

"I need you to do me a favor, Will." Grinning slightly, he asked "Percy?" Smiling, I nodded and he chuckled. "I'll make sure he's okay. In the meantime, wait in the Big House. Let Chiron know what happened, then tell the Olympians."

Before I could turn him into a deer, he quickly added a "please" to his list or requests. Nodding, I clapped his shoulder and let him work on Percy. Please save him.
