Artemis' POV

After finally getting the 'dean' to give me a schedule for the day, I walked back outside. I looked around, hoping to find Percy somewhere. After all, he was the only familiar face in this place.

I saw him headed to a classroom. Before he could walk in, I grabbed his arm and dragged him out. "What is it Arty?" he asked, obviously using the fact that I couldn't turn him into an animal to his advantage. I glared at him, then pointed to my schedule and asked, "Where is this class, boy? I'm going here first today."

He smiled, which irritated me because it made my heart beat faster. Afterwards, he pointed to the door number on the paper, then pointed to the one on the door he was about to walk into. Feeling silly, I let go and followed him in once I saw it was the same class.

"Hello, students!" I heard the older male up front bellow. "My name is Mr. Brunner, and I will be teaching Human Biology for this year." I saw Percy go pale at the man's name. Going against all of my virtues, I put a hand on his wrist to try and calm him down. After getting a quizzical look from him, I felt his heartbeat slow and he seemed to calm down.

"Percy," I asked slowly, careful not to overstep any boundaries, "why did you freak out when you heard that male's name?" He paused, deciding whether or not to answer. "Mr. Brunner was the cover name Chiron chose to use the year he found me," Percy muttered, his hands shaking. "Thinking about that just made me upset again and I freaked out."

Before I could ask him to elaborate, the male up front began talking to us about ecology and evolutions and such. I knew all of this already (duh, Goddess of the Hunt), but I didn't want to seem rude, so I pretended to pay attention.

While I was 'paying attention,' I glanced over at Percy to see how he was doing. He was still pale as paper, but now his eyes were darting around, the normally calm sea green pupils filled with panic and worry.

Once again going against my virtues of man hating, I put my hand on his shoulder. I squeezed a little to let him know he'd be okay, and I felt his shoulders relax. One awkward shoulder pat later, I was 'learning' about ecology.

After the bell rang, signaling the end of that horrid class, I walked out and waited for Percy. Not too long later, I saw his messy hair walk through the doorframe. "So," I asked, trying to sound casual, "which class do we go to next?" He smiled and let out a little chuckle. Before I could ridicule him about his manners, he was holding my schedule.

His face went slack and his smile disappeared. "Only the Fates would," I heard him mutter, before handing it back to me. "So?" I asked, trying not to get frustrated. "Just, follow me," he said, trying not to look any around too much.

When he walked me to the next class, I noticed a plaque next to the door that read "Psychology - BA." Knowing full well I'd get bored here as well, I sat next to Percy. That earned me a confused look and a shrug from him.

I didn't pay very much attention after that. Anywhere. I understand that schools, no matter the level, are meant to teach, but the teacher here didn't do a whole lot. The most any of them did was put on a video and keep everyone quiet.

After that horrid day of 'education,' I walked around the campus with Percy. Suddenly, he stopped and looked at me. "Why are you following me?" he asked. I paused before saying, "Well, I need somewhere to sleep. And the streets is a definite no."

I saw him blush, which confused me until I realized why he would blush. Then I started blushing. Soon enough though, we arrived at his 'dorm,' which I considered to be a little house.
