A/N: I have family here this week, and my boyfriend for two weeks after that, and then I'm off to college ._. So updates are going to be... let's say sporadic for a while.

"Oh, now you're just being stupid!" the Doctor said. "Just think about it—could you actually take hold of someone and throw them out that door?"

"Calling me a coward?" Biff asked, getting up in the Time Lord's face.

"Who put you in charge, anyway?" Val demanded.

"I'm sorry, but you're a doctor of what, exactly?" Hobbes piped up.

"He wasn't even booked in," the hostess said. "The rest of you, tickets in advance. But these two..." Her gaze flicked back to Matt. "They just turned up out of the blue."

"Where from?" Dee Dee asked.

"I'm just... traveling," the Doctor said, casting the briefest of desperate glances toward Matt."We're just travelers, that's all."

"Like immigrants?" Val spat with distaste.

"Who were you talking to?" the hostess asked. "Before you got on board, you were talking to someone, who was it?"

"Just Donna, Donna and Mallory, just our friends," the Doctor told them.

"And what were you saying to them?" Biff demanded.

"He hasn't even told us his name!" Val realized.

"Thing is, Doctor," Jethro started. "You've been loving this."

"Oh, Jethro, not you too," the Time Lord groaned.

"Ever since this trouble started, you've been loving it."

"It has to be said, you do seem to have a certain... glee," Hobbes pointed out.

"All right, I'm interested!" the Doctor said. "Yes. I can't help it, 'cause whatever's inside her, it's brand new and that's fascinating."

"What, you wanted this to happen?"

"No!"

"And you were talking to her," Biff said. "All on your own, before all the trouble, right at the front, you were talking to that Sky woman. The two of you together, I saw you!"

"We all did!"

"And you went into the cabin!" the hostess added.

"What were you saying to her?"

"I was just talking!"

"Saying what?" Biff demanded.

"You called us 'humans,' like you're not one of us," Jethro noted.

"He did!" his mother agreed. "That's what he said!"

"And the wiring!" Dee Dee added. "He went into that panel and opened up the wiring!"

"That was after!" the Doctor pointed out.

"How did you know what to do?"

"Because I'm clever!"

There was another terrible moment of silence after the Doctor's declaration.

"I see," Hobbes said."Well, that makes things clear."
