It's been a week since Kitari left her office. She wasn't coming out and the door was locked. Though, if anyone pressed their ear to the door you could hear the sounds of her pen scratching the paper and occasional pacing around the room, probably picking up paperwork, sorted out from different places. It's around the middle of the night and Leon was just coming back to pick up some work documents that Karno said he left there.

Karno: "And if it isn't there, you can ask Kitari for a spare, I suppose."

Leon: "And if she won't let me in?"

Karno: "If it's work related, she'll hand you the document, probably by sliding it under the door, or something. Kitari's crafty that way."

Leon: "Hmph, I'll get her to open the door."

Karno: "Don't. You can't even use your powers to get inside. There's wards around the border of the room. You need to get in there by door."

Leon: "I know."

*knock, knock*

Kitari: *write, write, write*

Leon: "...Kitari. Open up. I need to ask you something."

Kitari: *write, write, write*

Leon: "Kitari, don't ignore me."

Kitari: *write, write, write*

Leon: "......"

Leon: (Well, I suppose my body won't get in. I bet if I stopped her pen with my powers, she'll stop and pay attention.)

*snap*

Kitari: "...!"

Leon: (Hmph, I hate being ignored. I suppose there's some things these queens can do and some things they can't.)

Leon: "Kitari, get out of there, now. Quit ignoring me."

Kitari: "...Urgh..."

Leon: "You still have hunger, I don't know how much humanity you have, but it's enough for you to need food. Get out here before you starve to death. You don't have that kind of power."

Kitari: "...I'm not finished yet..."

Leon: "What's more important, work or your life!?"

Kitari: "...."

*clatter, clatter*

*clack, clack, clack*

Leon started hearing a chair being pushed away and slow clacking sounds of her heals of her boots. Then, with an unlocking click, she opened the door slightly enough for her to peer up at Leon. He looked down at her with an expression that was a cross between irritated and shock. Kitari was as pale as snow, her skin had literally shown white in her room's illumination. Her hair was messy and her crown was lopsided. Her clothes were crinkly and messed up. She sort of resembled a homeless adult that was kicked out by her parents because she was probably an extreme otaku, with those clothes. Leon immediately shut down the thought and pulled open the door more. She fell into his arms in exhaustion after he pulled away the door from her (she was leaning on it, to keep from falling).

Leon: "...Are you still conscious?"

Kitari: "I...I am..."

Kitari tried pulling herself up, away from Leon, but he held her down. Then he scooped her up and carried her to the palace garden.

*****

Kitari: "Urgh...uh..."

Leon: "You need fresh air, food and water. You need to take care of yourself, or else you'll die young."
