A broken heart
Shattered into pieces
Injured, torn apart
Withered into creases
Bruised from the insults
Stomped on from rejection
Beaten from the words
Injured from the lies
"Healed"
Bandaged best it can
The pain contained, concealed
Cold as ice
Barely beating
But living
Functioning
Grieving from the pain
From the lost piece of her
Her other half
