You were able to put a needle on Hawkeye's arm, allowing for him to receive the I.V he needed. You turned to Black widow and Thor, both of them looked up from their friend with suspicion about you.
Thor sighed, and you pushed yourself back on the seat next to where Hawkeye was lying.
"Are you a healer?" Thor wondered.
You frowned and looked at the God before shaking your head.
"No." You thought of something, only that...it could not be correct. "I am..." You did not believe the thoughts, more like memories in your head. "I'm something like...a doctor."
While Thor questioned you about your knowledge and what Clint's condition was, Steve reached out for Natasha's arm and pulled her to the side for just a second, looking at you sitting next to the skilled archer.
"You'll keep an eye on her?" He half questioned, half ordered.
Natasha was still looking at the girl from over her shoulder.
"Of course."
The redhead turned to Dr. Banner while you stood up, knowing that there was nothing more you could do for Hawkeye at that moment. You went to Thor and Steve, listening while they talked about the sceptre and Tony joined their conversation.
Steve looked at you when he mentioned Hydra, you looked away in embarrassment. You did not know yet what was happening, just hoped that whatever you had drank was about to lose effect soon.
You arrived at the Avengers Tower and the first one to get out of the ship was Hawkeye, taken out in a stretcher by Doctor Cho's team. You followed them, only to be stopped by the Black Widow.
"Not so fast." Natasha turned back and saw Steve still in the ship, as well as Tony, "I'm going with Barton." She announced, letting them know that it was their turn to babysit you. "Don't try us."
You opened your mouth to say something but the woman ran inside to find her friend and you were left with the two heroes.
"What's the word on Strucker?" Captain asked, walking right past you.
"NATO's got him." Hill replied, only seeing you out of the corner of her eye.
"The two enhanced?"
"Wanda and Pietro Maximoff, twins. Orphaned at 10 when a shell collapsed their apartment building" Hill showed Steve a screen with a video on it before explaining anything else.
"They volunteered." You muttered. "And they hate the Avengers..."
Captain stopped and turned back to look at you with a stern face. You stared back at him like a deer caught in lights when you realized that the Captain had heard what you said.
"Walk." He pointed out with his hand.
Hill kept explaining all of the terms, you were not impressed with all of the information...that was until she explained in a much vaguer manner.
"He's fast and she's weird." Maria said and Captain raised a brow.
You frowned and opened you mouth to speak, you were cut off before you could pronounce a word and Steve's voice was the only sound in the room.
"Well, they're gonna show up again." Steve said and turned to you as he stopped in front of the lift.
He gave the screen-tablet thing back to Maria, who then turned to you with narrowed eyes.
"Agreed. The file does say that they volunteered." She held the tablet to her chest and looked at the blonde man in front of her. "It's nuts."
Cap let you step into the elevator first and followed, reaching for the touch panel. You stared at his large muscular arm and blinked at the thought that it could be only an incredibly vivid dream. There was something that kept bugging you, you felt angry at the things Maria was saying. She did not know the whole story and could not judge! She was not in any position to talk about enhanced people!
