The tick of the classic wall clock boomed inside Lucille's head. Every second the tick got louder, and louder. And there was nothing she could do about it. Not one damn thing.

She laid motionless, the life drained out of her as a heavy feeling settled onto her body. She tried to, but could not open her eyes. She tried to move her hand, wiggle her toes, she wanted to feel something. Anything.

What she did not know, was that she was still numb from the antibiotics the doctor had injected her with.
She didn't even know where she was.

Her memory fogged into different occurrences. Faces like Simon, Daryl, and Rick seemed to seep through her mind. Guns were drawn, blood as spilled, and bullets killed.

Was she even alive?

Her mind raced into a panic, why couldn't she wake up?

She began breathing heavily, as she was loosing control of herself quickly. Sudden movement terrified her as hands tried to keep her steady. With everything happening she took all her strength and successfully opened her eyes.

Her first instinct was to look around, her eyes taking everything in.
The room was white, a bore room with a whole lot of white. Wires were connected on her, but what caught her attention was a small record player that stood in silence.

A figure stood beside her, checking her pulse with a scope. The figure was unfamiliar to her, for she never had seen him in her life. With a small movement caused by her hand, the doctor now realized she had awoken.

The man looked at her, eyes widened
"Eh-Uh-Um hold on" With that he left the room in a rush to get the others

He ran out of the building, onto the streets, looking for any of the group. Far ahead he saw Rick walking down the sidewalk, beside him was father Gabriel. He kept his pace and soon he found himself in front of the two men.

At the sight of doctor Loren, Rick questioned his presence "Is there a problem doctor?"

Loren huffed, collecting his breath "Lucille, she's awake"

Without another thought, Rick began to sprint his way over to where Lucille laid. He entered the eerie room that was once filled with heartbreak. The room now felt lighter, easier to breathe.

Rick entered quietly, preparing himself for the broken girl. He knew deep down she wouldn't be the same. Not ever. He'd help her, help her find herself again. It'll take time, but he promised himself he'd be there for her.

There she laid, an expressionless girl whom had lost her everything. Who'd her only family, abandoned her. Maybe not intentionally, but they weren't here with her at this very moment. Alexandria, was now and was always her home.

The sudden noise created in the quiet room caught Lucille out of her trace, looking to her left, laying her eyes onto Rick Grimes. The sight caused a small ghost smile onto her cracked lips. He was alive and in well conditioned, her vague memory remembered his limping and his bloodied leg.

"You're awake" Ricks raspy voice spoke out first

Lucille nodded, her ability to speak was now forgotten

Rick noticed her silence, feeling a pang of guilt inside him. He came in further, as sat himself next to Lucille.
"You scared the shit out of Daryl"

A small smile played on her lips, as an image of Daryl passed by
"You scared everyone really"
Ricks raspy voice told, as he knew she'd remain silent. Lucille weakly placed her hand on top of his.

His large hand was nothing compared to hers

His large hand was nothing compared to hers. A sigh escaped Ricks lips, as he realized she was still there.

Lucille's attention was again focused to the small record player that sat quietly next to the window. Tired of the quietness that loomed the room, she lifted her arm and pointed towards the black box. Rick, who followed her pointing, noticed the player "Want me to turn it on?"
Lucille nodded
"Okay" He stood up and went to the player, turning it on and placing the needle onto the disc. A familiar tune spurred out, calming her her nerves. Classic, 1959 Sleep Walk by Santo & Johnny Farina, filled the room with its heart filled tunes. Ricks attention was now on Lucille, as it seemed she was now in her own world. He noticed how she wouldn't talk, how her small actions talked for her.

He pondered on how damaged she really was
