"Daddy?".

"Yes, that's daddy". Maja smiled and looked at the one year old sitting on the floor, playing with her toys. Daniel came in, humming a tune as he put his bag under the coat rack. He just had a photo shoot at a beach house and the pictures would be shown later. He came in the kitchen where Maja was making some ice tea. "Hey, babe". He smiled and bend down to kiss her, his palms brushing over her belly. "Oh, there's my princess". Your baby girl started to squeal and she happily clapped her hands at him.

Daniel chuckled and crouched down next to her to pick her up in his arms. "Yes, my princess". He cooed and rubbed her chubby cheeks. "Do you think she'd be happier with a lil sis or a bro?". The Australian looked up at his wife as they sat down at the coffee table. "I don't know". Maja giggled and Daniel looked at the healthy, pregnant glow she had around her. "I want seven more". He sighed as his daughter looked up at him with her sparkling eyes.

"Don't think so, Ricciardo. Two is enough". Maja gave him a stern glare as she remembered how it had went the last time.

"Babe?".

"Yes?".

"What do you think about another baby?". Daniel rolled to your side as you had just put Rachel to bed. "You want more babies?". Maja laughed and snuggled into her husband's chest. "Well, maybe". He sighed and played with a few strands of her hair. "She's just half a year old, give her some time to live without siblings". She giggled as he moved to hover over her. Daniel looked down at her and moved to kiss her, his lips soon enough wandering down to her neck.

"She has enough time for that while you're pregnant". He grinned.

Of course she was pregnant after the first try, it's rare, but of course not for them. Maja smiled as she watched her husband with Rachel, a dark mop of hair on her head while she had her bright, blue eyes. The house he had in Los Angeles was their escape from the busy world in the weeks between races, although they did spend a lot of time in Monaco as well. Because they were both busy with their jobs at Red Bull, Maja had decided to temporarily quit her job.

Maja had time enough for the kids and sometimes stayed at home as Daniel had to travel to all the destinations on the F1 race calendar. She had brought Rachel along to Hungary, the last race before the summer break. It hadn't been the best race for Daniel, but everything was now okay between him and his teammate. Everyone in the paddock loved the third Ricciardo and some drivers even brought presents. She shook her head at the thought of Fernano giving her the small helmet with the Spanish flag on it, a cute necklace from Seb, oh  they were all so lovely.

But to see her husband with the little girl was the sight she fell in love with over and over again. "I allowed her to wait with bedtime till you came home". Maja muttered and moved to take her from him. "I'll come with you". Daniel smiled. Rachel was pretty tired and the cries of joy she had let out earlier where just soft sounds now. She had eaten before Daniel came home and now it was time to sleep.

The Australian leaned against the door as Maja put her to bed, softly rocking her back and forth while humming a sleeping lullaby. Daniel smiled at the sight, his heart skipped a beat and he was so in love with this all. He quietly made his way over to you, his arm curling around your waist to pull you into his chest. Maja smiled up at him and he bend down to kiss her lips. They broke apart as Rachel made some sounds. "Oh, right, no kisses". Daniel chuckled and Maja laughed, giving her the small bear she always slept with.

They got out of the room and closed the door behind them, the baby phone on so they could hear everything. The sun was setting in the distance as they moved to sit outside on the balcony. Maja slightly huffed as she sat down, her belly already heavily pregnant again. Daniel reached out for her hand and laced their fingers together. "I love you". He muttered against her knuckles as he brought her hand up to his mouth.

"I love you too". Maja replied and looked into her husband's gorgeous, dark eyes.

Her life had gotten better since Daniel was in it. Of course there was the moment of horror last year, but they tried to not think back of that too much. What mattered now, was their happy family and their love for each other.

Wow, guys. That's the end. It feels so weird as it suddenly went so fast, for my feeling. This is a story that I really enjoyed writing and improved my writing and describing situations. This story is a little trophy in my word files. I have hesitated a lot to add the scene where Maja was kidnapped by Albin, although I did add it because of the story line itself. Albin was a bit of a creep and I thought I might fit right in, which is a mission accomplished in my eyes.

Why I decided to end it? The drama part was over and the only thing I had left to write about were the races of Daniel's season, which aren't the most fun thing to write chapter after chapter. It needed an end and I decided to place it here. I hope I didn't finish it off in a sloppy way 😂
