Leondre's POV**
Do I believe her? No. Am I a bit put out? Maybe. Do I trust her? Yes. And I definitely trust Charlie anyways, I'm just a little curious and... jealous? Maybe. I don't know.
"Okay so we've been thinking about covers and more music and stuff, if you could look over this and when Charlie's here we'll go over new merchandise designs if that's okay?" Blair hands me a folder and I nod, only half listening to him. Some stuff about new merch new music designs... wait no the other way around... I think...
They come back, Emily clearly dazed and a bit out of it, and I'm lost in thought, mindlessly putting my arm around her waist, tracing her tattoo. I always do, and I know it often irritates her, seeing as her brother and father seem to have forgotten, and she doesn't want them to remember, but it soothes me, and anyway, I like touching her, and it gives me all the more reason to. She's cold, as though she's been outside, but she leans into me, not really focused.
We stay that way all the way to the hotel, when she says shes going to her dad and brothers room for some family conference. I force a laugh, saying that sounds serious to which she just grins, pushing her dad ahead of her to stop him making a show of saying goodbye to us as he usually does.
Pete's a little strange, but I find him funny, and I think Emily does too, behind the "oh my god what are you doing why am I the parent in this house" thing she has going on.
Charl and I go to our room where I throw the folder at him, flicking to a movie. It's a Harry Potter movie, and text Emily that it's on. She replies quickly, and I smile at my phone.
Mine💖💖: ohmygod thank you I love you you're the best thank you for telling me! Love you ❤️
Me: haha it's okay baby, you seemed off earlier are you okay? ❤️
Mine💖💖: I'm fine I just realised I am very behind on school work 😕❤️
Am I buying it? Sort of. Or I would have done if she hadn't spent all of last night studying. Ugh great now I'm doubting her, well isn't this fabulous.
Mine💖💖: come over tonight? We haven't had any time since that night I couldn't sleep and I miss you babe ❤️Me: of course baby girl I'll come over. I'll wait for Charlie to sleep is that okay? ❤️
Mine💖💖: perfect I'll wait for you then ❤️ I love you 😘
I swear my heart skips a beat. Why was I doubting her before it's probably nothing, I love her, and she loves me, why would I ever think-
"Bro! Are you okay?" Charlie laughs at me, shaking his hair.
"Hm? Yeah, yeah I'm fine." I try a smile but even I can tell it looks forced.
"Look, Emily really did want to talk about the backing, it really wasn't anything other than that I promise you." He looks concerned. "She wasn't sure about them, so we're gonna go over it when we get home. You can be there if you want."
I smile, but this time it doesn't feel so forced, "that's alright. I trust you and I trust her. Just thinking about that new music Blair wants."
Charlie nods and yawns. "You not tired?"
I yawn in response. "Dead, man." We get changed, though I put a shirt on as well as joggers, saying I'm cold. Charlie just nods, gets in to bed, and is out like a light. I laugh, waiting half an hour to make sure he really is asleep before texting Emily that I'm on my way. I don't bother with shoes seeing as it's one in the morning, and walk down to her room. The door is on the latch, so I just go in, taking it off the latch as I do, and she's lying upside down half off the bed.
