Leondre's POV**
I didn't sleep last night; I couldn't.
Today's the day she leaves, and I don't want it to happen.
But time can't stop or slow down, and so here we are. The flight is at eight, so they have to be there for six, meaning they leave in an hour. I get up, get dressed, brush my teeth and grab an apple for breakfast, because why not.
I go round to Emily's, and let myself in with my key they gave me a while back.
"Hello?" I call, stepping over cases lined up in the hall, and am almost knocked over by a blur running into me.
"Hi." Emily says, hugging me tightly.
I hug her back, her face buried into my shoulder. "Hey. You okay?" I try to pull away but she doesn't let, me, her shoulders shaking. She's crying.
"No. I'm leaving my boyfriend the day before our year anniversary. No I'm not okay you idiot."
I pull away from her and dry her eyes. "You will be. We have skype, facetime, and you still have your phone so we can always text and call, and the only thing that's going to change between us is distance." I comfort her, and she nods, not looking at me. "You want me to help you pack the rest?"
Emily smiles, though it's only a small one, at least it's genuine. "There's just a few clothes left." I follow her up to her room - or old room, now, I guess - and fold the clothes left on her bed before handing them to her to pack. "Thank you."
"And I'm coming to visit in six months, so that's a bonus."
She looks at me in shock which turns to disbelief and then happiness. "You're serious?!"
"Yeah, for a couple of weeks in the summer." She tackles me in a hug again, and I never want to let go.
"Emily, we leave in ten minutes!" Pete yelled, making Emily panic slightly.
"Calm down, I'm driving you, so we still have a while." I smile and she looks at e with tears in her eyes.
"I love you."
"I love you too."
-------
We all get out of the car, and I help them with their bags (there are a lot of them) dragging them over to get checked in.
"Okay." I say, once everything is sorted, and they're just going through to security and check in for their flight.
"I'll miss you." Emily looks up at me. Pete backs off a little to give us a bit of privacy.
"Not as much as I'll miss you." I smile, knowing it's true. "I love you, okay? Stay strong for me. I'll always be here for you, no matter what."
Emily smiles, laughing slightly. "I'll call you when we land. Thank you for the lift."
"It's okay. Don't tell anyone; I don't have my full license yet, it hasn't come."
She laughs at that, and I feel a bit better.
"No more tears, okay?No more crying." I smile, and hug her.
She looks at me and kisses me, though pulls away after five seconds. "Sorry, I needed to do that."
I grin. "You're so weird, birdie."
She smiles back. "SO are you, dork."
