Leondre's POV**
I wake up, my alarm going off, and roll over, smashing it to the floor. Fuck. I stifle a yawn, check my phone, and see three text messages: one from my dad, two from Em.
MyAlways💖: Sorry to bother you, and I know you aren't up, but dad wants to know if you and Charlie want a day off school with us? x
MyAlways💖: He said we can go paintballing, or to the carnival in the next town? It's okay if you can't/don't want to x
Dad: Your allowance has been transferred, don't throw it around, be sensible.
I roll my eyes; typical dad. But yes to Emily!
"Charles!" I yell, and he comes stumbling into my room, rubbing his eyes, mumbling about how his name isn't Charles. "Shut up, do you want a free day paintballing with Emily and her dad?"
He suddenly looks really awake. "Can I bring Jason?"
"Um... I don't know, but I can ask." I start texting Emily and get an almost immediate response. "Yeah, she says that's fine. I mean the first time she met him, she kissed him, so-" I feel a weird thing in my chest, but ignore it. Probably heartburn.
Charlie laughs, "true, though she did then kiss you."
I roll my eyes. "Charlie-Joe, stop insinuating things that aren't true."
Charlie smirks, "You don't know what that means, do you?"
"No, but it sounds like English, so get lost, I need to have a shower."
He disappears, snickering to himself, and I grab a towel for a shower.
I play some music and laugh as Charlie yells at me for being too 'up myself' as one of our albums comes on. "Shut up, not like it's not quality music!" I shout back, and he just laughs in response.
After I'm finished, I brush my teeth, grab the hair dryer, and dry my hair, before getting dressed.
And then undressed and dressed again. Ugh, I'm gonna regret this...
"Charlieee!" I scream, and he appears, showered and dressed already, phone in hand, smirking at me in boxers and socks. "Shut up and help."
"Aw trying to impress Miss James are we, Leondre?"
"I knew I'd regret this, leave!" I point to the door, but he just chuckles at me, going through my wardrobe and choosing an outfit for me.
"There, better?" He chucks a Japanese hoodie at me, and I pull it on over the oversized shirt, having it rest on my mid-thighs. I look in the mirror, frown at my hair, and style it as I normally would, then call Charlie again.
He just laughs and doesn't stop laughing until I hit him. "Shut up Charlie!" I whine, and he just shakes his head, finishing with my hair, and going to answer the door when the bell rings.
"Jason, mate, thank god I don't have to third-wheel."
"I heard that!" I yell downstairs, and they laugh, talking about god knows what.
Charlie's POV**
"Jason, mate, thank god I don't have to third-wheel." I say loud enough for Leo to hear. I hold my finger up for him to wait, and sure enough, "I heard that!" Leo screams at me.
We laugh at his response, talking so he can't hear us. "They still in denial?" Jason asks, pulling me in for a bro-hug.
"Absolutely. It's quite funny. You know what he has her number saved as? 'MyAlways'."
"As in Harry Potter 'always'? You have got to be kidding me." Jason laughs, and I smirk.
"The one and same. She's addicted; she even has PJs of the Marauders, Fantastic beasts, and Slytherin PJs to show her 'house'." I laugh, and he rolls his eyes.
"My cousin is the same, she will not shut up about it, and she's only ten?!" We laugh, and Leondre appears, suspicious.
"What are you two talking about?" He frowns slightly.
"Harry Potter." Jason answers, and I see his eyes light up.
"Whipped." I whisper to Jason, and he loses it, crying laughing on the floor.
We all go around to Emily's, Leo grabbing two portable chargers beforehand.
Emily's POV**
The bell goes, just as I finish putting my Adidas trainers on, and I yell to dad.
I appear at the top of the stairs, just as my dad says, "You never know the difficulties of getting a teenage girl out of the house on time until you have one."
"How would you know?" I retort, making the boys snicker. "I'm the one who takes like, ten minutes. You take about four years."
Dad just grins. "I wouldn't take so long if someone would let me go-"
"For the last time, you are never leaving the house in that thing." I glare at him, referring, of course, to the purple unicorn monstrosity.
Dad pouts, while the boys fall about laughing.
"Dad, keys, jacket, phone, and let's go!" I push the boys out of the door, pointing to the Bentley SUV.
"Um, that only has four-"
"Would you like to ride in the Bentley or the old Ford?" I say, and they practically sprint to the Bentley, practically drooling over her. Boys.
I open the door and pull the middle bit up, so it blends with the back seats, and turn to the three boys. "Who's in the front, who am I basically sitting on?" I fold my arms, and Jason immediately gets in the front, saying, "No offence, but I'm really not strong enough. Not been to a gym in just over a year, so-"
I just laugh, and Charlie gets in first. I follow, then Leondre. I lift myself so they're both buckled in, and sit down, half on Charlie, half on Leondre.
"Okay, cops come by, we're busted, lie down." Jason turns and laughs at us trying to manoeuvre into a slightly more comfortable position. I eventually end up looking up at Leondre, legs curled over Charlie's, squished against the door.
"Jackets!" I yell, and everyone dumps their jackets on me to cover me up.
"Okay, let's go paintballing!" Dad yells, and I move Leo's jacket (which smells amazing, by the way) out of my face to cheer along with the others.
"Hang on, won't the school let our parents know we're not there?" Leondre asks, and I laugh.
"No, dad called, said we were sick, and I pretended to be Karen and Jason's mum. I didn't know her name, so I just called myself Ms Dixon, that alright?" I punch Jason's seat.
"Yeah, yeah, fine. What music have you got here?" He asks, opening the compartment.
"Pretty much everything you can think of."
He puts a disk in, and we're soon singing ridiculously out of tune to Ed Sheeran.
Leondre leans down to talk to me quietly, and whispers, "you have the most beautiful voice."
"Shut up." I cover my face with my hands so he can't see me smiling or blushing.
What has gotten into me lately?!
