Kayani POV:
Sierra, Janae and myself walked around Forever 21 looking through the different racks. We all started to get closer to one another and Janae invited us to do a group photo shoot just for fun, and to get my mind off of Chris.
It had been 2 days since I'd seen or talked to him and I was starting to become worried. I texted him earlier to see if he was okay and if we could meet up but I hadn't received a text back.
I sighed after I checked my phone for what felt like the millionth time to see he had read my message but didn't respond. Janae must have caught wind of the change in my mood because she walked over to me and hugged me.
"It's going to be okay. You just have to give him time." she pulled away and held my arms.
"I know but two whole days? I think that'd be enough time. He probably is done with me completely." I said with a pout, trying to hold back my tears.
She leaned in and hugged me again and then wiped my face afterwards.
'Don't cry girly. I've been friends with Chris for some time now and I know he isn't going to end things with you this fast over something this small. He didn't buy you that expensive ass bracelet for no reason." she pointed at my wrist.
I cracked a smile. "Thanks Nae." I said to her.
"No problem. Come on, let's go check out."
We walked to the register and all three of us checked out, we proceeded to leave the mall.
After I put my bags in the trunk, I got in the driver's seat to head to Janae's studio. I plugged my phone up to the AUX to play some music when I noticed a text message; it was from Chris.
Chris: wya?
Me: leaving the mall, on my way to nae's studio. we're having a shoot.
Chris: ight.
I smiled a little hoping this meant he was ready to talk. I pulled off quickly and headed to the studio.
Once we arrived, Chris was outside leaning against his car and talking on the phone. I parked and looked in the mirror to make sure I looked okay.
"Ooh, look who's here!" Janae said.
"Oooooh girl, it's your mans." Sierra chimed in.
"I know. He texted me before we left the mall."
We all hopped out to get our bags out of the trunk. I made sure to spray myself with Chris' favorite perfume of mine and add a little bit more gloss to my lips. I fluffed my curls one last time before walking over to him. The butterflies I had instantly turned to a feeling of nausea when I noticed a girl in the passenger seat. I stopped walking and felt a hand on my arm.
"It's okay baby, that bitch ain't nobody. Keep walking." Sierra said to me.
I tried to walk forward but I felt like my feet were glued to the ground. Chris looked up and noticed I was standing there. He ended his conversation on the phone and told the girl that he'd be back.
"Wassup y'all." he said, licking his lips.
No one spoke to him, they all simply walked away.
