It's currently 12:25am, I'm not doing the homework I should be doing because I simply can not focus so I figured, why not type up a chapter!

Huge shoutout/thank you to @DLittleWriter for writing such an amazing story titled Unapologetically Me and inspiring me to type something up. Check out her account and stories; I promise you won't regret it!

I'm going to try and make this chapter as long as possible since I've been slacking with updates and because the last, actual, chapter wasn't very long.

Please ignore any mistakes, and as always, enjoy!

Kayani POV:

1 Month later...

"Ugh, finally." I sighed to myself as I brought the last box from my car to my brand new apartment.

I finally moved out of my mom's place and signed the lease on my very own apartment. I figured it was time to branch off and do my own thing and what better way to do so than by getting my own place. The next thing on my list was a new car.

My phone buzzed on the counter indicating that I was getting either a phone call or text message. I picked it up to see Sierra had texted me.

Sierra: hey i'm here. what # again?

Me: i'll meet you downstairs

I grabbed a paper towel to wipe the beads of sweat that had formed on my forehead. No one was able to help me move my boxes so I was forced to do it on my own. Sierra did promise she'd stop by after meeting with her wedding planner to help me clean up the place. I told her I didn't want her around the fumes of the cleaning supplies because she was pregnant now so we agreed to just go out and look at furniture together instead.

"Hey friend!" she exclaimed.

We hugged tightly since we hadn't seen each other in some time. We were both caught up in doing our own thing, we barely had time for anything other than what we were doing by ourselves.

"I missed you!" I told her.

She followed me to the elevator so we could go back to my apartment. I was only on the third floor so taking the stairs was nothing for me but since she was pregnant, she was a lot more tired more often so I offered to take the elevator. As we rode up we made small talk about any and everything, just as we always did.

"Here it is, welcome to Casa de Kayani!" I showed her around and she seemed to be pretty impressed.

"I love it! It's so spacious. I can't wait to start decorating." she said looking around.

"Well it is a studio apartment so I can pretty much do what I want with it." I responded.

Ever since I was young, I wanted a studio apartment. I just felt like there was so much versatility in them and you could do so much with it.

"I'm proud of you, Nani." she hugged me.

"Thanks Si."I said hugging her back. "Let's get going, there's going to be a lot of traffic soon." W headed to the car and soon after, we were pulling off in the direction of Ikea.

"So have you heard from Chris lately?" Sierra spoke, breaking the comfortable silence in the car.

"Uh, no." I said with a cough.

"I really think you two should work it out, Nani."

"It's not that easy Si."

"Listen, I'm your friend. Your best friend at that and I'm only going to tell you the truth." I nodded waiting for her to continue. "You're dumb as hell for walking away from that man, Nani."
